Intertwine (Strings of Fate) Chap. 26

"Trust me, trust me."

"You are telling the truth?"

"Of course, cross my heart." I reply him with a nod.

"Don't think too much." After that then, he walks away. I thought I was dead. 

After a few minutes, he pops out the kitchen with a tray of food. He put it infront of me and sat at the edge of the bed. He scoops a handful of porridge, blows a little, and cools it before he hand me the food in my mouth.

"Say ah." I frown by the way he treats me.

"I'm not a baby anymore, I can handle myself."

"Huh, you're my baby and I need to take care of you."

"What baby are talking about?"

"Baby, an endearment." My face awe sticken by his words and I think I'm going crazy. The Sho I'm with now is the Sho I met a long time ago. I didn't reply because I don't know what to answer. I don't know why he is doing it. On the other hand, is he doing it on purpose? I don't know. But then, I like the Sho right now. He continued to feed me until I am full. He handed me the medicine and I take it.

"I will be out for this morning, because I have something to do, but I will try to get home before lunch."

"Ok then, I will get home when I'm ok."

"No, you will stay here, I want to see you here when I get home."

"Why not?"

"You are not perfectly fine. And you have sinned to me." I raise my right eyebrow by what he just said a while ago.

"Huh? I have sinned against you and what is that? I don't even recall."

"That's it, you don't even remember."

"What are--." But before I can finish my sentence he seal my lips with a kiss. I can feel his warm lips unto mine as he cupped my face and imprisoned me in the sensation of his. He slowly moves his lips and move deeply in my mouth. I shut my eyes. His kiss grew aggressively and tastes every inch. But then his kiss become more slowly and passionately. By the time we stops, we are both catching our breathes.

"That is your sin and your punishment." I was dumbfounded about what happened just now. Why didn't I refuse his kisses but instead kiss him back? Why did my heart can't stop beating so fast? Why is my mind so full of those kisses? Why I didn't stop him?

"Oh, by the way, I have your clothes deliver to you last night. But you need a rest until your fever is gone, ok? I will tell the others about what happened." He gives me a smack before he goes out. I was still spacing out into the air thinking if I have gone mad. Maybe it's only the effect of my fever. I heave a deep sigh and I crouch in to the bed and continue to slumber. 

In the middle of my slumber, I felt someone was touching my face, the same feeling I get when I slept in the room. I slowly open my eyes and Sho is staring me intently.

"You awake?" I tried to sit up.

"What time is it?"

"It's already noon." I look at him intently and I notice some bruises and cuts in his face.

"What happened to you?" I tried to touch his face and see if I was seeing is true.

"Ouch! Careful, they stings."

"Did you have a brawl?" He averts his eyes on my prying eyes. I know Sho don't fight, or should I say he doesn't like to fight even though he is a good fighter. It's the first time I saw him like this, or something did happened.

"Did you have a fight? Who did this to you? Answer me!"

"Yukitaka, Yukitaka confronted me a while ago." I was surprised by what he just said, but why. Then, I remember what happened last night when he snatches me from our date. He must be humiliated by that.

"Why are you doing these all of a sudden, Sho? What is happening to you? I don't know who you are anymore." I get up from the bed and force him to sit on the edge. I search for the med kit in the kitchen. After a moment, I saw him lying in the bed while his hand was covering his eyes. I put the med kit in the side table and start to apply alcohol on the cotton.

"Hey, let's clean your wounds before it get some scar." I command him as he tried to sit facing me. I apply the cotton in his bruises and cut.

"Does it hurts?"

"Yes, a little."

"Then, why do you have to fight him if you knew you will hurt?"

"To get you back." Those words of his makes me silence that I don't comprehend what does it mean to him or how does it affects me. I felt the air is going thin and it is harder to breathe this time. He slowly leans forward while I still applying the medicine to him. Thump...thump...thump...thump.

"What are you doing? Get back" But he is leaning forward until I put my hands in his chest to stop him. Thump...thump...thump...thump. Why am I feeling like this? It's getting hard to breath and my heart is beating crazily. I felt my cheeks is burning I felt like I'm having a fever.

"S-Sho stop, what are you doing?"

"Does my nearness affect you this much?"

"I'm not being affected. You are acting weird."

"So you notice?"

"O-Of course, I notice. Why are you being like this?"

"It's all because of you, because of you."

"Eh? What are talking about? S-Stop! You making me nervous all of a sudden."

"Hmm? And why is that?" His face is a few inches away from mine and I can almost taste his cologne and I can almost feel his breath caressing my face. Then he grabs my arms preventing me to escape.

"You're scaring me."

"Meter, answer me. Why are you nervous right now? Why is that it's hard to breath? And why are you blushing?"

"I-I d-don't know."

"Then look at me." I slowly lift my head to face him and stare at his expressionless eyes. In an instant, our lips met in a mind-blowing intensity that governs my entire being and my whole existence.
