Lily cried all the way there. Sobbing about the next one in her place. I almost wanted to let her go back.

But I'm selfish so I don't.

I'm too selfish to let them take her again. I'm too selfish. Just mentally saying that, I feel like a jerk.

Lily fell asleep, tired from the tears she shed. You can tell from the steady rise and fall of her abdomen.

We walk into Hogwarts and go to the seventh floor silently. Everyone is silent and tired.

Placing her down on her bed, I kiss her on the cheek.

"I'm sorry, Lily-flower," I whisper. "But I couldn't let you go again."
