When I enter the room, something feels off.  It feels... Odd. I survey the common room.

Oh, its just Marlene and James snogging.

Wait, WHAT?

Why, exactly, are my best friend and boyfriend snogging?

The two don't notice me enter. I decide to catch their attention.

"Well," I say nonchalantly, studying my nails. The two break apart, surprised to hear my voice. "This is what I get for trying to get a book, huh?"

"Li -" James starts to explain

"Save it." I say, holding a hand up to stop him. I turn sharply on my heels and walk in the opposite direction. He tries to run after me.

"Lily, wait!" He calls out desperately. "Lily!"

I stop, turning around to face to him.

"Lily, I -" I cut him off.

"James, shut up," I say.

Then quieter, "Just be happy."

I spin around yet again, and leave, keeping him standing there, staring, dumbfounded.

Go ahead, James. If you decide to snog Marlene, so be it.

Love is making sure someone is happy, no matter what it takes.

If Marlene makes you happy, go ahead.

So those bloody letters were probably fake.

Go ahead, James. Lie to me, then just up and leave me. I don't care.

Just be happy.
