The king immediately breaks out into a smile, as does the queen, at the mention of my name. "Philip, my boy! My, how you've grown!" My mother exclaims, causing me to groan softly.
"Hi, guys, it's nice to see you too." I reply sarcastically, but with a smile. Dan smiles as well, lacing our fingers together and going on this tiptoes, but still needing me to lean down slightly to kiss my cheek.
"Aww, Philly, stop being all cranky!" He says with a smile, causing me to smile even more. I peck his lips happily.
"Sorry, babe." The King raises an eyebrow, as does the queen.
"Phil, son, who's this?" I smile widely, wrapping an arm around Dans waist.
"Mum, Dad, this is my boyfriend Dan." A large grin spreads across Dans face as he waves to them.
"It's nice to meet you both!" He exclaims happily. My father frowns deeply.
"Philip, I cannot let you see this boy." I raise an eyebrow in confusion, pulling Dan closer to me protectively.
"And why not?"
"He is a filthy mutt and I am not letting his kind into my palace!" I gasp softly, going wide eyed before he call for the guards.
"N-No! I'm not letting you take Dan away from me!"
"You have no say in this, son, you are still only the prince until next month" I tear up slightly, watching helplessly as Dan gets dragged away from me.
"No, stop! Let me go! Please! Please! I-I'm innocent! I haven't done anything in my life ever! I'm not even 18 yet!" Dan shouts through tears in the hopes that my parents will stop. But, unfortunately, they don't.
"Send him to the dungeon!"
"No!" We both cry at the same time, looking at each other.
"I'll get you out of there if it's the last thing I do!" I shout to Dan, who nods meekly, whispering after sniffling.
"Okay"
