Your P.O.V.

"Love you princess," Niall says and then kisses my lips.

"Love you too babe. Be careful."

My boyfriend Niall works at a hospital and by now I should be used to him contracting all types of illnesses just like how Niall should be immune to every disease known to man. But he isn't.

"I will."

Lies. I heard the door close behind him and thus another day of worrying began.

Niall's P.O.V.

I swiped my card in.

"Morning Mr. Horan," Jenny said.

"Morning Mrs. Williamson."

"Morning Niall," Chrystal said with a smile.

"Morning Chrys."

"Mr. Horan you are needed in Room 116 now," Mrs. Frieda said angrily.

"Morning to you too Mrs. Frieda."

"How many times have I told you to call me Mrs. Chesterfield?"

"Sorry."

I spun around her and towards the emergency room. I looked on the clipboard outside of Room 116. Influenza maxima? Shit. I put on a mask and walked in. There was a little girl who was pale and looked very weak laying in the bed in front of me.

"Hello," I said.

She started crying.

"What's wrong," I asked walking quickly over to the side of her bed.

"You're scary. Leave me alone."

I sighed and took my mask off, "Hey it's ok I won't hurt you. I'm just a doctor. Ok?"

She nodded.

"Alright I'm going to check your vitals ok?"

She nodded, "Am I going to die?"

My heart sunk.

"I heard mommy and daddy talking to a doctor and they started crying."

"I don't know sweetie, but I'm going to do my best to prevent it."

"Thank you Mr."

"Your welcome," I smiled.

Her fever was at 104.7 and her heart rate was slow. Her blood pressure was low.

"Have you eaten today?"

She shook her head, "It hurts to eat and I'm not hungry."

"You have to eat."

"Mr. Doctor?"

"Yes?"

"Can we do something?"

"Like what?"

"I dunno."

I smiled, "Be right back."

I put my mask on until I had gotten out. I washed my hands and then went to go retrieve two coloring books and a pack of crayons. I went back into the room and put my mask on. I walked over beside her bed. She got a panicked look again. She looked like she was going to cry. I took my mask back off.

"It's me," I looked down at her wristband, "It's just me Laura."

She smiled. I gave her a hug, holding her tightly in my arms.

I let go, "Here. Wanna color?"

She nodded and I gave her a coloring book and a pack of crayons. She started coughing loudly.
