It seems like Vince and Alex argued in front of us for most of the day. When they finally went home Alex called me crying. I mean it's a weird situation and I'm not quite sure how to take it. My best friend married her boyfriend of a few short months. I mean they've only been together like two, two and a half weeks longer than Nikki and I.

I was washing dishes after dinner when Scorpio starts to run around my ankles.

"Hey boy." I laugh and he jumps up on my leg. "Whatcha doing, huh?" I ask him and I hear Nikki laugh.

"I think he wants to go on a walk." My boyfriend says and I look back. "I mean it's nice out, babe. We could go to the park."

"Yeah we could do that." I agree.

"Where's his leash?" Nikki asks.

"Uhh." I rack my brain. "I think it's either in my room or in the front closet."

"Okay, I'll go check." He says and walks out of the kitchen.

I look down at Scorpio and he jumps up on my leg again.

"You wanna go on a walk?" I ask him and he barks. "Go find daddy." I say and he runs off.

I finish washing the dishes and Scorpio runs in dragging his leash behind him. I laugh and dry my hands. Nikki's arms come around me and he kisses my hair.

"You ready to go, Skylar?" He asks quietly.

"I just got to put on my shoes." I tell him and he kisses my ear.

"Okay." Nikki says and I turn around in his grasp.

I press my lips to his and I feel his smile against my lips. I raise my hands to his cheeks and his grip gets tighter around me. Nikki's hands drop to my thighs and he picks me up, I wrap my legs around him. Nikki starts to kiss my neck and Scorpio starts to bark. Nikki chuckles.

"He's stubborn like you, Sky." He says and puts my back on my feet.

"Really?" I ask with a laugh. "I was gonna say he's stubborn like you."

"I hate you." Nikki laughs and kisses my cheek.

"I love you too, babe." I say and kiss his nose.

I go and put on my shoes, Scorpio runs between my legs and Nikki hand finds the back of my hips where my shirt doesn't cover.

"I can see your tramp stamp, babe." He laughs.

"Thank you, Captain Obvious." I laugh and bend down to grab the end of Scor's leash. "Ready to go?"

"Ladies first." Nikki says and I smirk.

"Age before beauty." I say and he laughs.

"Roots before roses." He comebacks.

"Cats before Queens, my dear Nikki." I say and he smirks.

"Shit before the shovel, my love." Nikki says and I laugh.

"I hate you." I laugh and he grins.
