"Nikki, do I look okay?" I ask as I walk out of the closet.

Nikki looks up from playing with Scorpio and smiles at me. He stands up and rests his hands on my hips, he puts his forehead on mine and I smile.

"You look beautiful as always." Nikki tells me quietly.

"Are you going to get me arrested this New Years?" I ask and he laughs.

"Not this time, I promise." He promises me.

Nikki kisses my lips quickly and walks me backwards into a wall. He forces me up by my  hips so I'm closer to his height, I wrap my legs around his hips. I start to kiss his jaw and neck and Nikki fiddles with the button of my jeans.

"Do you care if we're late to Alex and Vince's as long as we don't get arrested?" Nikki asks and I laugh.

"Okay." I agree and kiss his lips again.

"Great." Nikki mumbles into my mouth.

Vince

"Alex, babe, I really don't think this is necessary." I say as I follow my pregnant wife into Nikki and Skylar's house. "I mean the cars are probably just in the garage."

Alex turns around to face me and crosses her arms. Her beautiful coffee coloured eyes study me before she scowls. I've lost this argument before it's even started.

"Last time they were late it was because they got arrested." She reminds me. "With my family being down I really don't want to have to explain to my older brothers that they're sitting in the police department. You'd be looking for a new bass player."

All the Van Zants did fly in earlier this week and Alex has been on edge ever since. LeeAnn, RJ, and Jay, along with a couple of little ditzy girls that Alex's older brothers introduced as their girlfriends. As soon as they were introduced something inside Alex changed, like she was ready to kill these girlfriends. If I had to guess it would go back to that siblings protection thing, like the minute they hurt one of her older brothers my tiny wife would kill them.

"But I'm guaranteeing that they're here somewhere and if you go looking you might see something that you really don't want to." I explain and she rolls her eyes.

"Like what? Walking in on them fucking?" Alex asks. "I've already done it, sugar."

With that she walks upstairs to find her best friend, I sigh and drop to the couch in the front room.

Everything is happening so fast. I feel like it was like last week that Alex and I were fighting and she told me she was pregnant. Now it's New Year's Eve and the baby is due the first week in March. Alex still doesn't want to know the gender of the baby but I still really do. Like I'm going to be happy either way it's just I'm scared for the baby to be a girl. I'm scared that I will screw her up so much that she doesn't know what love is. I'm scared that I won't be around enough for her. Im scared of hurting her before any douche bag guy has a chance to. I'm scared that by the time she's grown that she'll hate me for never being around. I'm scared of her going to a party when she's fifteen and being raped. I'm scared of her getting married and have her husband abuse her. I'm just scared to have a daughter. It's all just happening too fast for my liking, I want to slow down time.

"Oh my god! Alex!" Skylar yells and it pulls me from my thoughts.

"Sorry!" My wife apologizes and closes the door again.

Alex walks down the starts laughing her ass off and I smile.

"I take it that you found them." I laugh as she sits down beside me on the couch.

"Yeah, it's like the second time I've walked in on them." She admits.

I put my hand on her stomach and I feel our baby moving around and kicking. I smile because I already love this kid so insanely much and I've never even laid eyes on the kid. Alex's tiny hands sit on top of mine and I look up at her.

"Do you really want to know the gender?" She asks quietly.

"Yeah." I admit. "I really do."

"Okay." Alex says and pulls a little envelope from her pocket. "I got the doctor to write it down before we left the doctors that day." She hands me the envelope and smiles. "Open it, baby."

I take the envelope in my hands and rip it open. I pull out a folded up piece of lined paper and I start to unfold it. The doctor's writing reads: Congratulations Mr. And  Mrs. Neil, you're having a girl.

"Vince, what does it say?" Alex asks me and I smile.

"It says that we're going to have a girl." I admit and she grins.

"We're going to have a daughter?" She asks quietly and I laugh.

"Yes, Alex." I say and kiss her lips. "I love you so much."

"Vince, I love you so much." Alex tells me when she pulls back.

Skylar

Nikki had stopped me while I was walking down the stairs after Alex kinda busted open the door we'll we were in bed. He stopped me in enough time to watch Vince open up that little envelope saying that Alex is carrying a little girl. Nikki smiles and elbows me.

"Christ Alex, it's about time you told him." He calls and they look back at us. "All Vince has been doing to freaking out about what you're having."

"Thank you so much for that, Sixx." Vince mutters and my fiancé laughs.

"You're quite welcome." Nikki tells them as he grabs my hand and starts to walk down the stairs again. "You know, I poor pity the kid if it looks like you, Vince."

"Yeah?" The singer asks. "Me too." He laughs and wraps his arm around Alex's shoulders. "I hoping that she looks like Alex."

"No way, I'm hoping she looks like you, Vin." Alex tells her husband and I roll my eyes.

"I hope the kid calls you mama, Vince." I say and he laughs.

"Might happen." He agrees.
