Intertwine (Strings of Fate) Chap. 15

"Richito and Tatsui have been in a brawl last night and they've been badly injured!" Shocked was written all over my face.

"What? How did this happen?"

"A group of gang from other school assaulted them when they're going home. I just got this call just this morning about them."

"Damn it! The festival is just around the corner! How did this happen at this time?" I bite the nail of my thumb to think a better idea.

"If we don't have a pianist and a drummer, we can't perform in the festival."

"Yeah, I know. What to do?" Without any thought, I walk out of the room and I went straight for the Student Council Room.

"Meter senpai!" I saw here in her desk and she look at me with confusion.

"Are there problems Kohei?" I walk in the room and face her.

"Two of my band members were injured. I don't know if we can play in the festival." She faces to look at me after reading some papers.

"Yeah, I heard that just this morning. And I brought the solution." I frowned to her statement.

"Solution? What are you talking about, senpai"? Then, we heard some knocks in the door.

"Come on in." She said.

"Excuse us." Two girls appeared in the door and get in. My eyebrows raised in disbelief.

"What are the two of you doing here?" I asked them myself.

"Meter senpai, called us here."

(Ritsu's POV) 

After the first class, Kohei stand up and walk out in the classroom. Maybe he's pissed off because the teacher confiscated his headphone. His cutting classes again, my phone ring inside my bag. I look at the screen and check who is the caller is, it's Meter senpai.

"Hello?"

"Ritsu, I need you in here now."

"As in, now?"

"Yeah" She hung up the phone before I can ask her my question. I got up from my chair and went out in the room. In the hallway, I met Alexis.

"Alexis, where are you going?" She turned to look at me and give me smile to greet me and me also.

"Meter senpai called me."

"She called you also?"

"She did to you too?"

"Yes, what does she want this time?" We reach the room and knock before we enter.

"Excuse us." We said and we saw a man standing infront of Meter senpai in disbelief face.

"What are you doing here?" He asked as if he doesn't expect to met us here in the first place.

"Meter senpai, called us here." I said as a matter of fact.

"Here they are." Meter senpai pointed at us.

"What is this, Meter senpai?" I asked at her. She leans in her chair as she removes her glasses and heaved a deep sigh.

"I've got news this morning that two of the band members of Kohei were badly injured. And because of that, they might not be performing in the festival."

"Then, what do we have to do with that?" I crossed my arms in my chest.

"I know you're background Ritsu and even Alexis. I want you two help the band and be a temporary members to it."

"What?" Kohei and I exclaimed in disbelief.

"What's the matter with you two?"

"I don't want to be with him, Meter senpai. And, are you insane?" I pointed out at him.

"And what's the matter with that, Ritsu?" I bit my lower lip to hide my emotion.

"I know your busy right now, Ritsu and Alexis. But I can't hand this matter to somebody." The two are quiet while I was arguing with Meter senpai.

"Then why us?"

"You should know that Ritsu. I don't have time to argue with you. Just help Kohei this time ok?" She said without a single blink. That means she's serious. I heaved a deep sigh as a sign of surrender.

"How about my daily practices?"

"I've already discuss this to your coach and she's willing the decreased the time of your practices, the same as Alexis." She turned to face her.

"Are you ok with that?"

"I don't mind." Alexis answered back.

"How are the guys?"

"They are ok, and Yuji is catching up to his lessons."

"That's great. Then you can start practicing now." Without a single word, we left out the room.

(Alexis POV) 

We closed the door after we talked to Meter senpai. Then, Ritsu senpai walk away without a single glance at us. I turned to face Kohei senpai.

"Uhm, can you do me a favor, Alexis-san?" I'm surprised because we are not that close but he was already asking a favor to me. What am I? A person who can always ask for favor? I'd say they are somewhat rude.

"What is it, Kohei senpai?"

"Can you talk to Ritsu for me?"

"And why is it?" "She wouldn't talk to me." I frowned.

"Why?"

"Because she's not talking to me." What a great answer I got from him. Then I saw him blush and bowed his head. This is the first time I saw a guy blush in front of me. Maybe, just maybe that he is--.

"Please?" He said not lifting his head up.

"Ok, that's fine with me." Then, he looks at me and give me a weak smile and patted my head.

"Thanks, Alexis-san." He said before leaving me in the hallway. What is the problem between the two? I just thought that everyone of them have the same problem with one another. I better go to my next class. If ever I saw Ritsu senpai, I will talk to her.  

My phone rings suddenly while I was walking in the corridor. I received one message from Meter senpai. I push the read button and read the content of the message.

"You start practicing now." She plainly said in the text. That's a problem. I need to find Ritsu senpai so that we can start practicing now. I asked some students in the hallway if ever they saw Ritsu senpai. But every single one of them never met or saw her. Therefore, I went in the school ground, but I never saw her. Then I went to the rooftop where I can find her. I open the door and I saw her standing and leaning in the edge.

"Ritsu senpai, thank God. I was searching for you in the whole campus." I walk near her.

"Did Kohei ask you a favor to talk to me?" She asked me without facing me.

"How did you know that?"

"Of course I know. He is afraid to talk to me, didn't he?"

"You already know, then why are you still avoiding him?" She turned to face me and her lips formed a weak smile.

"Ok, I will help him." What an exciting turn of events, a while ago she was hysterically arguing with Meter-senpai about that and now without a sign of refusal she agrees to help them? These people are so crazy. I better not adapt to their way of thinking, I don't like to taint my mind with theirs.
