Intertwine (Strings of Fate) Chap. 13

"Still the same, huh? Still the weak Usami-kun." Yuji was holding his hurt abdomen and tried so hard to get up this time because he was bleeding heavily, maybe he was hit hard that time. Just by the sight of Yuji hurting makes my heart stab by a double-edged sword. I hurts me more to see him in great pain. It was my fault. It was always my fault. I was at the same place, frozen helplessly while I let important people to me hurt to protect me. I can't even protect or save them. I was always the one to be saved by others. I felt so weak and fragile. Why am I like this? Why does it have to be like this? I cried again on my knees.

"Ayaka!" I heard Alexis' voice. I turned around to confirm it, I must be hearing things. She came rushing towards me with anxious face together with Jiro.

"Ayaka! Are you alright?" She kneeled down to see if I am ok. I nod. I saw Jiro run towards them and block a heavy blow towards Yuji. He kick Takamura's abdomen that the latter fall in his knees. He help Jiro get up and walk away from him. I hugged her. Not long after, cars arrived at the scene. I know we are safe. I know they are police cars and they are here to save. All I can hear was the commotion that surrounds us.

"Ayaka!" I also heard the senpais voices.

"Why do you have to do this?" Yuji brags me while I was cleaning his wounds.

"Just let me do this for you. This is the only thing I can do, so just let me." I shook my head to hide my emotion as I clean his wounds. We are now in the hospital. I insist that I will be the one who will clean his wounds even if the nurses would not let. But they give up and let me do the thing. We are alone at the room while the others are busy outside. We remained silent as I carefully disinfect his wound.

"I'm sorry." He suddenly said.

"I should be the one apologizing, if it weren't for me, this will ever have happen." He grabs my hand to stop me covering his wounds.

"It's my fault, I should've told you that day." I lift my head to look his face.

"What are you talking about?" I waited for his explanation anxiously.

"About the deal between you and Takamura, I knew it all." I was startled.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I don't want to get you involved. I thought you will not watch that video."

"Then, why didn't you confront me when you know what happened."

"You were avoiding us that time. And I was hesitant, if you told us about that deal he might hurt you. That was I was thinking that time, the same with Jiro. I don't have a choice but to remain silent." He shook his head as he loosens his grip.

"Then, that video came up at the press. I was trying to call you that time but you didn't answer. So I was panicking, we search for you until we find you there." I saw he grip his hand to form a fist.

"When I saw you crying, I was so angry that I want to kill them all. I am sorry if I was late that time. If I know I should've have let you have that deal either." I saw sadness and a tear fell from his eyes, but he wiped it with his hand. This the first time that I saw him crying. He must be hurt that time. I touch his face and cupped it with my hand. Then, I give him a light kiss on his cheek. His eyes widen on what I did, but I do not deny it.

"Thank you. It must be hard for you, Yuji. But don't worry, I won't cry ever again. As long as you stay on my side and protect me as you always did." I said to him and smiled. He replied with a smile I have never seen before.

(Alexis' POV) 

As usual we are outside the room where Ayaka and Yuji are, in short we are eavesdropping them. Therefore, they make up for the misunderstanding they have made in the past.

"I knew it! I knew Yuji like Ayaka!" Ritsu senpai scoffed.

"Well, he likes Ayaka from junior high, senpai." Jiro seconded.

"Eh? That long? That Ayaka, she's so slow." We laugh lightly.

"Then, the show's ends here, so let them be in there way, guys." Meter senpai commanded.

"But, what if Yuji takes advantage of this situation and he will do something bad to Ayaka." Ritsu senpai stated.

"Yah, you're ruining our reputation." Kohei senpai said. Then Ritsu senpai look away. Looks like another war will be happening I sense it.

"It's been a long day, we have to take a rest."

"Sho is right. They have strong security here, so don't have to worry about them." After that, we said our goodbyes to each other and they went straight home. While me, I have to talk to Kanno sensei.

"Good work, Hirasawa-san."

"It's nothing, sensei."

"You have proved that nothing passed by you, until your next assignment then, Hirasawa. I must be going, I think your boyfriend is waiting for you." I turned around to see whom he was pointing at. I saw him walk closer to me.

"We need to talk." He said.

"About what?"

"About everything I've seen and I've heard from you." I gasp his hand and drag him in a secluded place far away from people.

"What you seen or heard, don't try to tell this to others."

"Why not?"

"Because, it's not important for them to know."

"Why not?"

"Because I have my own reasons too. If you understand what I mean, keep it mum."

"I guess, I have another treat from you." My face was awe sticken from what he said.

"What? Is this what you want from me?" He holds up his chin.

"Not really, but if you truly want me to keep it a secret from them, then it is ethical that I will be receiving something from you, right?" I just nod in agreeing so that he will stop talking.

"Then, what do you want then?"

"Hmm, I can't decide yet. But give me some time to think. You are not in a hurry right?"

"Very well then, I will just wait for it."

"Then, would you care to tell me how you know about that?" I sigh deeply.
