When we joined the others, Steve had handed Josephine a pink key with a sparkly cherry red 'J' on it.
She shoved it eagerly into the keyhole, turning as soon as she put the key all the way in. You could practically feel her excitement as she shoved open the door and ran inside.
We followed her in, and oh my God, was it amazing. The walls were painted ombré in a purple-lavender-white order top to bottom, the floor a soft lilac. Her white sofa was up against the back wall with purple pillows. On the glass table in front of it sat a silver bowl full of rainbow skittles.
My eyes traveled to the desk next to the door we were standing in, and it matched Edward's. White wood desk and chair, however this desk had a mulberry coloured laptop.
"This is..." Josephine breathed, looking around the room, "Incredible."
I smiled. I hardly knew this girl, yet watching her smile in happiness and wonder warmed my heart.
"Would you like to see your closet?" Steve asked, pulling a cherry red key with a pink stiletto on it out of his pocket.
"Yes!" Josephine hopped up and down.
"You two," Steve said, turning to us. His narrow eyes shown amusement I hadn't seen before as his hazel eyes sparkled. "out."
Edward took my wrist and towed me out of her dressing room and we walked behind the building. We found a tree stump nearby with a boulder next to it, and I sat on the stump as he sat on the boulder. For a moment we watched the men and women scurrying around a couple hundred yards away building the set for our movie. I was watching a man install windows in one of the walls of the school.
"Fascinating, isn't it?" Edward asked after awhile.
"Hmm?" I questioned, not looking away from the scene.
"How they can make it seem so real, make you think it's a real place, I mean," he said.
"Yeah," I agreed. "It's pretty cool."
We lapsed back into silence for a few moments, the only sounds were the faint chatter of the builders, the sounds of drills, and the cawing of the jays.
Suddenly, Edward grabbed my hand. I jumped at his touch at first, and he retreated slightly, but I eventually settled down and placed my hand in his.
"It's so beautiful," I murmured. The rocky mountains stood tall behind the scene in a purplish grey colour, the tops covered white in powdery snow. The sky was red, purple, and pink, showing the setting sun in a beautiful orange.
"Just like you," Edward whispered softly, but not soft enough to be inaudible. I blushed the same colour as the sky and, after a moment of hesitation, rested my head on his shoulder.
Never did I think I would be watching a sunset high on a mountain {which was where the set was in fact} and never did I think I would be doing it with Edward Cullen.

After the sun went down and the moon began to rise into the sky was when Steve found us. Edward and I were sharing stories from our childhood and eating some popcorn we had stolen from the staff's snack table.
"Guys," Steve called from the side of the building. Only his head was showing. "It's time to go,"
"We know the way back," Edward said. He was my ride, so we really didn't need to leave when Steve and Josephine did.
"Are you sure?" he asked.
"Positive," I called.
"Alright. Goodnight you two," he added, an he disappeared from sight.
I turned around on the tree stump to pick up the popcorn bowl when I realized we were sitting on the edge of the mountainside. I gasped, but not out of fear, out of awe. I looked down at the city, staring at the twinkling lights of room lights being turned on and off everywhere. I gazed at the traveling lights of head and tail lights of cars. The view was absolutely breathtaking.
"Edward, look," I murmured, and he turned to see what I was talking about.
"Wow," he mumbled, and we sat there gazing at it for a long time.
I don't know how long had passed when my eyes began getting droopy. I rested my head on Edward's shoulder, trying to fight what felt like weights on my eyelids, but eventually I couldn't fight it anymore.
Everything went black.

As Bella and I sat staring at the city below us, I couldn't help but imagine if she were mine. I could hold her by my side, my arm around her waist, her arms around my neck. She would rest her head on my shoulder - even though she was already doing that - and I would kiss her at exactly midnight.
Suddenly, I felt Bella slacken her hold on my hand and I turned my head to gaze at her. Her eyes were closed, and her breathing was even. She had fallen asleep.
Gently, trying not to disturb her, I picked her up bridal style and walked carefully to my car. It was parked in the parking lot at the end of the cliff side road, and I immediately regretted waiting so long to go home. I would have to keep my high beams on the whole way down.
I managed to open the passenger side door and place Bella in the car before shutting the door and walking round to the driver's side. I slipped in and buckled myself in after buckling in Bella and turned the car on.
The comforting purr of the engine soothed my slightly elevated nerves as I turned the heat on low. I turned on the radio and turned it to a rap station, just so it wouldn't lull me to sleep.
Eventually I ran out of things to do to stall, so I carefully pulled out of the parking lot and began my drive down the mountainside.

I made it.
I'm not sure how, but I made it.
I turned the car off and got out, walking round to Bella's side. She was still fast asleep, so I picked her up and walked into my house.
"Hey, dude, where've you been?" Emmett's booming voice came from the living room, coming closer with every word.
"Shhh!" I said as he came into view. He looked at Bella in my arms and his eyes grew wide.
"Dude! Did you drug her?!" he whisper-yelled.
"What?! No!" I whisper-yelled back.
"Oh, is she asleep?" he asked.
"Obviously, you moron!" I walked up the stairs into my bedroom and placed her under the covers. Tucking her in, I walked into the bathroom and changed into sweatpants and a tee before crawling into bed next to her.
"Goodnight, Love," I whispered. I wish I could call her that when she was awake...
I turned over to stare at the wall and fell into a peaceful slumber.
