Chapter 12

"I'm straight for right now"

"Do you want an aspirin?" I asked knowing his head must have been pounding.

"Yeah, after I eat" he took a sip of his coffee.

"Coffee never tasted this good in my life"

"That's good ole Caribbean coffee, plus you have a headache, coffee gets rid of headaches"

"Yeah" he rubbed his temples.

"I'm sorry for crashing against your will"

"No it's cool, your ass wasn't going to leave anyway, the way you insisted on coming up"

He rubbed the back of his neck, blushing ever so slightly.

"It's okay to be thirsty August, I mean just look at me" I said playfully.

"Go somewhere with all that girl" he laughed.

I laughed at him, his smile was really beautiful if I didn't notice before I definitely did now.

"But I mean it, I apologize for grabbing you up like I did, and I did deserve that hot and heavy hotel visit... I just think you're a cool girl that I'm willing to get to know and shit... Can't blame me for that right?"

"Nope not really, and your apology is slightly accepted" I grinned.

"Whachu mean slightly?" he laughed.

"You're going to have to try harder than that!"

"HA!" he began to laugh.

"Listen ma" he grabbed my hand.

"I'm leaving New York tomorrow morning" his face softened.

"I'm still on tour, so I'll be gone for two weeks, but the third week I'm back in NY to finish up my Complex spread and last concert here, but I really want to get to know you better and see if we can make something work" I smiled at him.

"Well I knew you'd be gone"

"Yeah, so now I'm asking you, are you gonna give me a chance to prove myself??"

I looked at him and grabbed my mug, and took a sip.

"Nawww don't hermit the frog me now" He laughed.

"I'll think about it"

"Nope won't take that for an answer"

"Okay..." I whispered.

"Huh? I didn't hear you?" he asked being stupid

"No you heard me" I crossed my arms.

"Nah, I didn't"

"Okay" I said a little louder.

"Now give me a kiss"

He leaned over the table with his lips pouting towards me.

"Seal the deal" he said and closed his eyes.

I leaned forward and kissed his lips.

"Your lips are addicting" he laughed.

"You're annoying" I laughed.

"Look, I'mma head out T said he here to get me, feels I over stayed my welcome"

I laughed at T's comment, I was actually enjoying his company. But I wasn't about to show or tell him.

"Welp, I'll see you in three weeks" I got up from the table and headed towards the door.

He caught me in mid walk and spun me around.

"Act like you aint gonna face time me"

"I work too you know" I smirked.

"I bet you will drop all your shit when you see my name pop up on your screen"

"Oh really now?"

"Of course girl"

"We shall see" I opened the door for him.

"We shall" he walked out into the hallway.

"By the way, I listened to your album"

"Oh really, whatchu thought?"

"That's for me to know and you to find out" I smiled.

"Don't play with me Audrey"

"T's waiting" I began to close the door and I caught it and pushed it a little.

"Come here" her pulled me close to him and kissed my forehead.

"So you remember me" he smirked at me.

"Bye Mr. Alsina"

"Girl what I told you about that?"

I laughed as I closed the door and he hopped on the elevator.

August really crashed on her couch though ?

Audrey is warming up to him ?

So he gonna be gone for three weeks ...

Let's see how the pans out.
