"I still say you should put a new floor board in the entryway, maybe something with salt to keep bad spirita away."
Noona snorts.
"I'm getting a meditation nook and a fridge that doesn't scream in German. That's it."
Gabriel laughs again-easy, relaxed-and taps the corner of the rendering,
"Actually, if we reroute the shelving here, the entry can carry a little indoor water feature. Maybe a small fountain with light..."
"We'll think about it," Yoongi hyung says from the doorway, voice flat. Controlled.
Everyone stills for a second too long.
Gab doesn't miss it.
His shoulders straighten almost imperceptibly.
But he smiles.
"Of course. Just a suggestion."
I tilt my head, watching Yoongi hyung.
His fingers are white-knuckled around the mug. He hasn't taken a sip.
Behind him, Jungkook's hand flexes once.
Like he's keeping himself from saying something.
Tae leans down, ruffles Noona's hair like a boy who can't stand still when the air feels wrong.
"Hey," he murmurs just loud enough for us to hear. "Do you want us to stay?"
She blinks. A beat too slow.
Then she smiles. "You guys don't have to. I've got this."
But we know her.
And that's not her "I'm fine" voice.
That's her "please don't leave me with this tension I'm pretending not to feel" voice.
Tae turns to me.
"I brought the blanket. The fluffy one."
I smirk. "Mine now."
He shrugs. "Sharing is caring."
Joon hyung sits cross-legged on the floor.
"I brought snacks. Technically, Tannie tried to eat most of them, but what's left is probably safe."
Kook walks in and drops onto the couch, Bam immediately sliding into place beside him like a shadow.
He says nothing.
But his presence is loud.
Yoongi hyung finally steps further into the room, eyes locked on Noona-not Gabriel.
I move beside him. Not because I need to.
But because we all feel it.
The shift.
The thread being pulled.
She looks up-eyes wide and a little overwhelmed-and for a moment, she's not Y/N, LoveMap product manager, the center of our universe.
She's just... our girl.
Surrounded. Guarded. Loved.
Gabriel adjusts the rendering again, but the conversation stutters. The laughter fades.
Because this space?
It wasn't made for him.
And whether he realizes it or not...
He just stepped into a house built on soulmates.
And no blueprint in the world can redraw that.

You can always feel it before it happens.
That split-second shift in the room-like the air itself gets pulled tighter.
