Jimin's POV
We slipped away when no one was watching.
Except... they were watching.
Of course they were.
There's no such thing as "sneaking" in a house full of soulmates.
But no one said a word.
Just smirks and soft whistles and that one ridiculous line from Jungkook about emotional protection.
Tae grabbed my hand and tugged me down the hallway.
And I followed.
Always.
The warmth of the living room faded behind us, replaced by the hush of nighttime. Wood floors soft beneath our feet.
Our giggles bouncing down the hallway like whispered rebellion.
Like we were teenagers again.
Like the lights we built tonight hadn't already changed us forever.
Tae glanced back once. "Don't look back," he whispered, grinning.
I didn't.
Because everything I wanted was right in front of me.
We reached the bedroom in a flurry of breath and unshed emotion.
He shut the door softly behind us.
The light was off, but the moonlight spilling through the windows painted the walls in silver-blue.
A low glow from the projector's standby screen flickered across the floor, throwing stars on the ceiling like the universe hadn't finished performing.
My heart was still loud in my ears.
Still full from the way they looked at us.
From how Noona kissed my cheek when no one was watching.
From Kookie's hand never leaving mine.
From Yoongi hyung whispering "you were art" against my ear.
From Hobi hyung and Jin hyung and Joon hyunh - the way they held us without even touching.
Like they'd been dancing with us the whole time.
And Tae-Tae who never left my side through all of it.
I turned to him.
He was already looking at me.
His voice, quiet, "Are you okay?"
I nodded, slowly. "Just... full."
He took a step closer, then another, until there was barely breath between us.
"I know the feeling," he said.
And then he kissed me.
It started slow.
Gentle. Deep.
That kind of kiss you only share after giving the world something raw.
That kind of kiss that says I saw you.
His hands were on my waist.
My fingers in his hair.
His lips pressed to mine like a promise.
Our foreheads met.
We didn't speak for a long moment.
Just breathing. Just being.
Then he pressed me gently against the wall, arms bracketing me on either side.
His eyes searched mine.
"That duet," I whispered, lips brushing his.
"I felt you in every movement. It wasn't choreography. It was..."
"Real," he finished.
I nodded.
Tae's voice dropped lower. Steady. Sure.
