I'm still a mess when we step out of the boutique-flustered, overheated, and mentally begging the universe to give me a break.

But nope. The universe, personified as Kim Taehyung today, has other plans.

Tae's hand is laced with mine, warm and steady as we walk side by side toward his car. My heart still hasn't recovered from that whispered threat earlier.

He looks so smug too, like he's perfectly aware of the state he's left me in.

As soon as we slide into the car, he takes my hand again, lacing our fingers together as if it's the most natural thing in the world.

His thumb brushes lazily over my knuckles as he drives, eyes fixed on the road but smirk firmly in place.

"Feeling alright, noona?" he teases, voice rich with amusement.

I shoot him a half-hearted glare, sinking lower in my seat. "You are... impossible."

He laughs-a full, genuine laugh that fills the car with warmth. "You should've seen your face. Adorable."

I groan, covering my face with my free hand. "The stylists were flustered too! Tae, you were out here wrecking everyone.

He hums thoughtfully, glancing at me with those dangerously soft brown eyes.

"Hmm. Can't help it, noona. Maybe it's just you who makes me this bad."

"Liar," I mutter, but my heart's racing all the same.

"You don't believe me?" he asks, feigning hurt. "I'll have you know, you bring out my best behavior."

"Is that what that was?" I scoff.

Tae chuckles, squeezing my hand. "Okay, maybe my most dangerous behavior." His voice dips slightly. "For you only."

I internally scream.

Despite myself, I laugh, shaking my head. "You're ridiculous."

"And you love it," he grins.

I don't answer. I don't have to.
Because I do.

The car ride is filled with teasing glances and lingering touches until we finally pull up in front of a stunning high-rise in the heart of Gangnam.

I glance out the window at the sleek, black signage above the entrance. "Midnight Reverie," I read aloud.

Tae cuts the engine and turns to me, grinning. "Best jazz bar in the city."

My eyes widen. "Tae, this place looks..." I trail off, taking in the velvet-rope entrance and the suited doorman, "...expensive."

He just winks. "You're worth it."

I roll my eyes but feel my cheeks flush all over again. "You're going to spoil me rotten."

"That's the plan," he smirks, hopping out and rounding the car to open my door for me.

I step out, smoothing my dress and clutching my coat as he offers me his arm. "Ready, my queen?"

"You're insufferable," I murmur, but loop my arm through his anyway.

"Mm." His voice is low, teasing as we head inside. "You love me"

"I really do" I sigh, smiling despite myself.

Inside, the bar is pure elegance-dimly lit with deep amber tones, velvet booths lining the walls, and the soft sound of live jazz filling the space.
