The days that follow are slow.
Not in a heavy, suffocating way.

But in a way that allows space to breathe.
A way that allows time to heal, to rest, to settle into something that feels like safety.
It starts the morning after.

Taehyung is curled between us, his body warm and pliant, his breathing slow and steady.

His fingers twitch against my wrist, as if he's making sure I'm still there even in sleep. Yoongi is on the other side, his arm draped protectively over Taehyung's waist, his face buried in his hair.

His face is relaxed, his body limp in a way that speaks of complete trust.

I exchange a look with Yoongi, my throat thick with emotion, and he just nods, his own eyes soft, relief evident in every line of his face.

We don't wake him.
We just hold him.

Taehyung wakes up slowly.
Blinking, stretching, confusion flickering over his face before realization sets in.

Before he remembers where he is.
With us.

Yoongi grins at him, ruffling his hair before kissing his forehead.
"Morning, baby."

Taehyung blinks again, groggy and warm. His lips part like he wants to say something.

And then-his stomach growls.
Loudly.

There's a beat of silence.
And then Yoongi snorts.

It's quick. Unintentional. But it escapes before he can stop it.

I burst out laughing first. I can't help it. It's so loud. So absurd. So normal.

Taehyung blinks once. Then twice. Then-
He smiles.

It's small, barely there, but it's real.
And that's all it takes.

We spend the morning in the kitchen, making breakfast together.

Taehyung sits on the counter, watching as Yoongi complains about my inability to crack an egg properly. I retaliate by flicking flour at his face.

Which results in a full-on food war.
By the time we sit down to eat, Taehyung is laughing.

It's quiet. Breathless. But it's his laugh.
And my heart feels light.

Day 2
Healing is slow.

But it's real.

And it looks like this-

Long, quiet mornings where Taehyung wakes up curled between us, warm and safe. Lazy afternoons spent tangled in blankets. Late nights filled with whispered conversations, laughter, and the soft sounds of comfort.

And, of course-Wacha and Yeontan.

Because if anyone is on a mission to heal Taehyung-it's those two.

Yeontan has always been protective of Taehyung.

But this is a new level.

Everywhere Taehyung goes-Yeontan follows.

Bathroom? Yeontan waits outside the door.
Kitchen? Yeontan sits on his feet.
Naps? Yeontan insists on sleeping on his chest, tiny body rising and falling with his breathing.

At first, Taehyung thinks it's cute.

Then he starts realizing-

It's Yoongi's fault.

Because, apparently, Yoongi has been bribing Yeontan to stay glued to Taehyung at all times.

"I just told him to look after you," Yoongi says innocently as Yeontan aggressively snuggles into Taehyung's neck.
