When Kook stepped through the front door, leash in hand, I swear the whole house held its breath.

"Everyone... this is Bam."

Bam - tall, elegant, alert, and heartbreakingly gentle - walked in like he already belonged.

His deep chocolate eyes scanned the foyer, his head tilted with polite curiosity, tail wagging just slow enough to seem cautious but steady enough to say, Okay. I think I trust this.

"Oh, he's so handsome," Jin oppa whispered next to me, hand over his heart.

"I'm emotionally compromised," Jimin said from behind a throw pillow, eyes wide.

Tae was already kneeling, arms open, smile glowing like morning sun. "Hi, sweetheart."

Bam didn't hesitate. He trotted over to Tae like they'd known each other forever and gently nudged his nose into Tae's palm, tail wagging faster now.

"I'm in love," Tae whispered.

Kook's smile was half nerves, half sunshine.

"He's been staying with my parents since our apartment didn't allow big dogs. But here... here he can be with me. With us."

Hobi threw an arm around Kook's shoulder and kissed his temple. "He's home now."

We'd agreed to let Bam settle in before Hobi and Jungkook finished moving in.

Let him explore, claim the garden, get used to our rhythms.
