Jin’s POV

If someone told me months ago that I’d be standing in front of my walk-in closet, agonizing over what to wear for a date with Kim Taehyung, I would’ve laughed in their face.

Yet, here I am.

Half-dressed, holding two different outfits in my hands, questioning every single life choice that has led me to this moment.

“Comfortable,” I mutter under my breath, recalling Tae’s text. “He said to dress comfortably.”

I glance at the luxurious cashmere sweater in one hand and the a black shirt with white inner longsleeves in the other.

One screams ‘refined, wealthy lawyer with impeccable taste,’ and the other screams ‘I stole this from Namjoon’s side of the closet once and forgot to return it.’

A small smile tugs at my lips at the thought of Namjoon.

We’ve only been back together for a month, but it already feels like home again.

Like something that was always supposed to be.

But this date—it’s different. It’s new.

And if Taehyung has anything to do with it, it’s going to be chaotic.

I settle on the black shirt. Tae likes me laid back, and frankly, I like how smug he gets when I let my guard down around him.

Which, in my defense, is entirely his fault.

I tug the shirt and inner sleeves on, running a hand through my hair, and check my reflection one last time.

God I'm handsome

God I'm handsome.

The outfit is simple—black joggers, white sneakers, and the loosely fit shirt.
I look… not like a lawyer.

Good.

Because today, I’m not ‘Kim Seokjin, Seoul’s most terrifying criminal defense attorney.’ I’m just Jin, the idiot who is completely and utterly smitten with his soulmates.

The doorbell rings precisely 45 mins after noon.

Right on time.

I don’t rush. I make my way to the door leisurely because I know Taehyung is already grinning like a fool on the other side, probably vibrating with excitement.

I crack the door open, and—yep. There he is.

 There he is
