Yoongi's eyes flickered between me, his mom, and Nari, piecing together the situation with the precision of someone who had been paying very close attention.

As he absorbs his surrounding, the corners of his mouth curled into a mischievous smile.

He could see it-the confusion, the jealousy-it was all written on my face.

I was still standing by the table, feeling like I had just stumbled into a dream I couldn't wake up from.

Nari, his sister, had just greeted me like we were old friends, and Yoongi's mom was treating me like family.

It all made sense now.

I had assumed the worst when I saw Nari wearing Yoongi's apron, and the endearing "Oppa" rolling off her tongue had sent my mind spiraling.

But now, as the realization sank in, I felt my face flush with embarrassment.

Yoongi, on the other hand, was absolutely delighted by the whole thing.

"I have to say, Y/N," he started, his tone light and teasing, "I didn't think your idea of a surprise would involve... well, all this." He waved a hand, gesturing to the whole room-the cake, the decorations, his family.

He leaned a little closer to me, his voice soft but playful, "But honestly, I think I'm in love with the surprise. It's... perfect."

I blinked, a little stunned, then laughed nervously. "I just... I didn't know what to expect. I thought I'd be making your day special, but then-" I gestured vaguely toward Nari and his mom, "-this happened."

Yoongi grinned at me, the amusement in his eyes making my heart skip. "Well, I don't mind. I like the way you're showing you care."

His gaze softened, his hand brushing mine briefly as he gave me a gentle squeeze.

The touch was casual, almost effortless, but it sent a warm shiver down my spine.

I couldn't help but feel a mix of relief and awkwardness.

I quickly turned my focus to the cake in my hands, avoiding his gaze as I muttered, "I really didn't mean to make it awkward."

Yoongi's lips quirked. "Awkward?"

He raised an eyebrow, stepping even closer. "I think it's adorable. You're jealous, aren't you?"

My eyes widened in surprise, and I immediately shook my head. "I'm not... jealous."

He chuckled, clearly not buying it. "Really? Because it kind of looks like you are. And honestly, I think it's cute. I'm glad to know where your feelings are at the moment, it's a good validation" he winks at me

His tone was softer now, teasing but sweet, and I could feel my cheeks heating up again.

I swallowed, trying to push past the embarrassment. "I wasn't... I didn't mean to... I just... didn't know. I thought she was your girlfriend or something."

Yoongi's eyes sparkled as he let out a laugh. "Oh, she's definitely not my girlfriend, I can assure you."

He took a step closer, lowering his voice so only I could hear. "I'm just happy you care enough to genuinely give that fact an importance"

I looked up at him, now a blushing mess. "Yoongi, stop."

"Stop? I can't stop now that I know how you feel." He grinned, clearly enjoying this a little too much.

Nari, who was still bustling around in the kitchen, glanced over at us, clearly enjoying the scene.

She shot me a knowing look and smiled, as if she knew exactly what was going on.
