The fact that Suga had asked me on a real date-an actual soulmate date-kept replaying in my mind, and it made my stomach do this weird, fluttering thing every time I thought about it.
He had been nothing but patient and understanding, but now that the reality of a date was right in front of me, I found myself in a mild panic.
I wasn't exactly what you'd call "graceful."
My coordination was more accidental disaster than "elegant woman."
The idea of stepping out with someone like Suga, who oozed coolness and confidence, made me feel like I might trip over my own feet.
Or worse, spill something all over him.
The morning of the date, I tried to calm my nerves by doing what I do best:
Overthinking.
My closet, which was usually a place of comfort, had turned into an obstacle course.
I was already late, sweating slightly, and standing in front of an open closet filled with clothing I didn't think could possibly match the gravity of this date.
After a frustrating back-and-forth between dresses and pants, I finally settled on a simple but elegant black dress that was casual enough for a low-key date, but still had a touch of class.
When the doorbell rang, I was ready. Mostly.
I stood in front of the mirror, brushing one last strand of hair into place and giving myself a pep talk.
"You can do this, Y/N. You can be charming. You can be cool. You're not a complete disaster."
I took one last deep breath and opened the door.
And there he was.
Suga.
Standing at my doorstep
looking like he had just walked out of a magazine cover shoot.

He was wearing a sleek black leather jacket over a white tee, his hair slightly tousled in the perfect way.
Ripped dark jeans, he was effortlessly cool, and yet there was this warmth in his eyes when they met mine.
"You look... amazing," he said, his voice genuine and soft, the corner of his lips quirking upward.
I felt my face heat up. "Oh, uh... thank you! You look... um... like you just stepped out of a movie or something."
Real smooth, Y/N.
"Like, you're basically the lead role. No pressure." I added with a nervous laugh.
Suga raised an eyebrow, his playful grin widening. "Lead role, huh? So, I'm the star of this show?"
"Clearly," I said, trying to sound confident, but mostly failing at it. "I'm just... the sidekick."
