Chapter 29: Animal Antics and Affection

Taehyung's POV

The car hums softly as we cruise down the road, the air outside crisp with the early morning freshness.

We've been driving for a little over two hours now, but my excitement is through the roof. I swear, I love everything about this.

I'm sitting in the backseat, leaning forward with my head poking between the two front seats, eyes glued to the road.

The anticipation of reaching the safari park has my heart pounding in a way I can't control.

And then-I see it.

"Guys, look!" I shout, practically bouncing in my seat. "It's the sign! We're here! Safari time!"

I point enthusiastically to the massive "Safari Wildlife Park" sign just up ahead.

Yoongi hyung looks up from the road, a small smile tugging at his lips. "I see it," he says, his voice as calm as ever, but I know he's excited too.

He slows down the car, his fingers tapping rhythmically on the steering wheel. "Alright, alright. Let's get the show on the road."

I can't sit still. I feel like I'm about to explode.

We drive a little closer to the park's entrance, and I watch as hyung pulls up to a small window where a man is selling carrots for feeding the animals.

He stops the car, and the window rolls down.

Hyung pulls out some cash, handing it to the guy at the window while I practically lean out of the car in anticipation.

"Carrots for the animals, huh?" I tease, still bouncing in my seat. "Are you sure they can handle the awesomeness of a teddy bear and a handsome guy like me feeding them?"

Y/N noona laughs from the passenger seat. "I'm sure they can handle it, Tae," she says with a smirk, her eyes twinkling as she glances at me. "Just make sure you don't end up feeding the your hand to the animals-too much excitement might make them think you're part of the zoo."

I laugh too, but then I turn back to Yoongi hyung.

"Hyung, are you sure we're not going to get mobbed by all the animals? I mean, look at this teddy bear!" I gesture dramatically to the huge stuffed bear sitting beside me, taking up half of the backseat. "They're going to love him."

Hyung looks at me through the rearview mirror, an amused smirk playing on his lips. "You're just trying to make me drive even slower, aren't you, Tae? I see through you."

"Hey, I'm just stating the facts!" I raise my hands in mock surrender, the whole car bursting into laughter as we continue our journey into the park.

As we approach the main gate, the atmosphere shifts.

A giant gate stands before us, with the ticket booth just beside it.
