Chapter 118: Little Fires, Brighter Flames

Start from the beginning

Wacha looked offended by the flash but didn't move. She only blinked slowly, like she knew this moment was hers.

*Bing* *Bing* *Bing*

The thread exploded.

Jin (Group Chat)
I'm crying. Someone make them flower crowns.

Hobi (Group Chat)
They've formed a pact. We're not the main characters anymore.

Yoongi (Group Chat)
Did we just get upstaged by a cat and a pom?

Namjoon (Group Chat)
Is this the beginning of a household rebellion?

And then Bam entered the scene.
Majestic. Poised. Tail swishing with importance like a royal entering his throne room.

He paused at the edge of the windowsill, eyed the pair like a tired babysitter surveying toddler chaos.

Then-gracefully-he stepped forward.
He nosed Wacha once, gently.

Nudged Tannie like a hello.
Then laid down beside them, all strength and quiet devotion.

His paw came to rest on the floor, and Yeontan immediately crawled halfway onto it.

Wacha leaned on Bam's flank like a pillow.
And they all fell asleep. Together.
In a sunbeam.

I gasped.

Y/N noona whispered, "I've just witnessed divinity."

We were still frozen in awe when the front door opened.

Joon hyung came in first, arms full of produce and purpose. He stopped mid-step.

Then Jin hyung followed, sunglasses perched dramatically on his nose despite the cloudy morning. He froze too.

Behind them, Hobi hyung was humming something under his breath, swaying to a beat only he could hear-and then he stopped. One foot still midair.

Even Jimin, trailing behind with his laptop bag and a small bag of pastries, halted in the doorway, mouth parted.

Joon hyung blinked. "They're... co-parenting now?"

Jimin made a choked sound. "I am so posting this."

The Nickname Was Born In That Moment.

Kookie emerged from the hallway, hair damp from a shower, took one look and whispered reverently,

"The Trinity."

I pointed. "No, no-'The Anchor Babies.' They're grounding the house in love."

Jin hyung wiped a tear from his eye. "Pet polycule confirmed."

And because I am me-and because this felt like an event-I returned ten minutes later with a miniature crown for Wacha made of gold wire and one of noona's faux gem earrings.

She blinked once when I placed it on her head.

Accepted the honor.

Tannie barked once like applause.

Bam shifted and rested his head gently on Wacha's paws.

Y/N noona took another picture.
