"You did send me pictures before but in person, the photos definetely did not do this justice," he murmured, then turned to Wacha, who had appeared on the kitchen counter like she owned the lease.

"And who's the queen?"

"Wacha," I said proudly. "She'll judge you silently for the next 48 hours."

"She's got resting CEO face. I respect that."

Yeontan barked once from the couch, and Bam nudged him in what I'd now come to recognize as a protective sibling gesture.

Gab crouched down and held out a hand.
"Can I?"

Tannie sniffed dramatically.

Bam leaned into the offered hand.

"Wow. These guys are gorgeous."

"They're our boys," I smiled.

Dinner was filled with chatter, but under the music and fork clinks, something in the air shifted.

"You should've seen her!" he cackled. "She wore a glittery pink headband and almost knocked me out with a pompom."

"She still answers to it," he added, winking.
