He zoomed around the perimeter of the garden with Kook calling after him, laughing like a kid again.

Jin Oppa fed him bits of grilled chicken.

Jimin tried to teach him a paw trick with peanut butter treats.

Joon gave him a serious talk about the ecological benefits of biodegradable poop bags.

"I'm gonna get him a custom collar," Hobi announced, rubbing Bam's chest while the dog sat majestically by the pool.

"With rhinestones."

"No," Yoongi said flatly from the pool float.

"Yes," Hobi said back, already adding it to cart.

Tae and Kook were the most radiant.

Bam curled under Tae's legs every time he sat, tail swishing gently as if he'd known him forever.

Tae kept whispering compliments in this dreamy, lilting tone - "You're so elegant, oh my god," and "Bam-ah, your posture is regal. You could model."

Kookie, meanwhile, was vibrating with love. He kept checking if Bam needed more water, if the garden was too warm, if the toys were okay.

Kook's eyes shimmered. "You like it here, huh?"

We all smiled.

Even Yoongi, who tried to hide his soft heart behind sarcasm, reached down from the porch steps and scratched behind Bam's ears like he'd been waiting for that moment since he met him.

"He's got good taste," Yoongi muttered, and Kook beamed like he'd just won a medal.

Jimin practically squealed beside me, nearly spilling the iced tea in his lap.

"He's such a good boy," he said for the fifth time in the last hour. "Look at him! Look at that face! I wanna squish him."

"He'd probably let you," Joon chuckled, lounging in the grass, arms behind his head as Bam passed by and gave his shoulder a gentle sniff.

Jimin immediately dropped to his knees and extended both arms like a cartoon character asking for divine blessing.

"Bam-ah," he gasped. "Come here. Let me love you."

And of course, Bam did.

With the calm confidence of a dog who knew he was already adored, he trotted right over and pressed his nose against Jimin's cheek.

Jimin let out an actual squeak and fell onto the grass dramatically, arms splayed like he'd just been slain by cuteness.

"Minnie, are you crying?" Tae laughed.
