Silence.
Utter, stunned silence.
Then-Tae squeaked.
"Wait," Jin hyung said.
Yoongi hyung finished his question for him "Do you think the guest room is your bedroom?"
I looked between them, now even more confused. "...Isn't it?"
Tae and Kookie screamed.
They grabbed both my hands and bolted, dragging me down the hallway like they'd just been set on fire.
"Careful!" Jin hyung called, laughing.
I stumbled behind them, trying not to trip, as they came to a skidding stop in front of the room next to noona's bedroom.
"Wait-" I panted. "Isn't this noona's walk-in closet?"
Y/N noona, catching up behind us, snorted. "My walk-in closet cannot be that big. That's criminal."
Kookie hugged me tight. Tae threw his hands over my eyes.
"No peeking, Minnie!" he giggled as Jin hyung opened the door.
And when Tae uncovered my eyes, I saw it.
"Welcome to your room, Jiminnie."
It was beautiful.
Soft gray walls. Clean lines. Queen bed already set against one wall.
A private balcony just beyond sliding glass doors, with trees swaying in the breeze.
I froze.
I felt my knees wobble.
I felt every guard I ever built shatter in an instant.
"I-" My voice cracked.
"You made me a bedroom."
More tears.
So many tears.
"You made me a bedroom before you even knew me," I whispered, voice shaking.
"Before you even knew my name. It's so beautiful. It's so perfect. How-how did you know?"
"Because we knew you were coming," Yoongi hyung said gently.
"We didn't want to just wait and see," Joon hyung continued.
"We wanted you to know - from the start - that you were wanted." Y/N noona added.
"That you were planned for," Jin hyung whispered, kissing my nose again.
"That you were already home," Yoongi hyung finished, wrapping me in his arms.
I cried again.
This time in full, joyful sobs - the kind you don't even fight. The kind that come from being seen so fully it steals the air from your lungs.
We all hugged again, tighter this time.
Everyone wrapped around me like a shield. Like a promise.
After a while, we toured the rest of my space.
The bathroom?
Oh. My. God.
All marble and matte brass, with dual mirrors and a rainfall shower that could put a five-star hotel to shame.
"I might live in here," I whispered in awe.
The closet was hidden through a sliding panel - a dream of oak shelves and soft lighting and hanging rails I could practically dance between.
It felt like a movie.
Like a wish.
I turned to them all.
"Thank you," I said, voice low but glowing.
