He kissed my shoulder. "Yeah."

"But I'd rather be scared with you... than safe without you."

Tears slipped silently onto my pillow, but they didn't sting.

They were warm. Like spring after the storm. Like forgiveness finally settling in the bones.

"I'll fight for this every day," he whispered. "I swear it."

"So will I."

Behind us, through the cracked window, the sun spilled into the room again-soft, golden, kind.

Like it was starting over, too.

Jin's POV

We could hear the door upstairs open slowly-barely a creak, but the sound sent every head in the house whipping around.

There they were. Y/N and Namjoon descends from the stairs like they were emerging from another world.

And in a way, they were.

Flushed cheeks, swollen lips, messy hair. Hands barely separated.

They looked soft and undone and stitched back together by something sacred.

Y/N's sweater was on inside out.
Joon's on a muscle top.
I smirked.

Tension cracked in my chest like a stiff joint finally released.

Kook was the first to move.

He launched across the living room in two strides and practically tackled Y/N into a full-body koala hug.

"Noona!" he gasped, dramatic and breathless

Y/N stumbled back, laughing, arms thrown around him like a lifeline. "You're so dramatic."

"You were gone for, like, ten years!" he whined, squeezing tighter.

"Two hours, max," Yoongi deadpanned from the couch.

But his eyes-God, his eyes were soft.

Hobi was next. He stalked up to Joon like a lion on a mission, narrowed eyes and clenched jaw.

Joon barely had time to straighten his hoodie before Hobi caught him in a headlock.

"You absolute idiot," Hobi growled, dragging him in like a scolding parent.

"I almost died of secondhand heartbreak this week. You better have made it up to her in every way, Kim Namjoon."
