Chapter 110: A Thousand Unsaid Things

Start from the beginning

Jae presented new UI animations. Dara shared insights from the latest NGO partners. Yoongi quietly flagged some security patches that had gone live overnight.

Joon chimed in with a few questions about potential regulatory issues-his usual precision at work.

And then I switched the slide.

"SoulReach," the title read in violet serif font.

The quiet shifted.

"This is the next big feature," I said, steady.

"An opt-in, real-world support constellation. Users can volunteer to be part of a live geotag-based map that shows emotional support allies and safe spaces. Think peer-to-peer guidance. Activist support. Living maps of hope."

I paused, letting the idea settle.

"We already have the awareness campaigns, donations, and resources. But this... this is where we let users find each other. Not just online. In the real world. When they need someone."

Dara leaned forward, eyes bright. "Like living stars in a constellation."

"Exactly," I said.

"Human connections in physical space. Marked safe zones. Anonymous IDs. Verified profiles. Hope, but with direction."

There was a beat. Then Jae grinned, already sketching boxes. "Give me til tomorrow and I'll mock up something sick."

Si Woo nodded. "We'll have to build from scratch, but it's viable. Could be layered into the current location opt-in features."

Even Yoongi gave a low hum of interest.

"If the IDs are randomized and connections filtered through encryption, it's not unmanageable. Depends on how we structure visibility."

My heart surged. "I've got a working data flow-happy to walk you through the security layers."

And then-

"I love the idea in principle," Namjoon said slowly.

Something in me tensed.

He was calm-his voice that perfect CEO tone. But his fingers were steepled now, his brow furrowed deeper.

"It's elegant. Visionary, even. But it's reckless."

The words landed harder than I expected. Not just because of what they meant-but because of who was saying them.

Namjoon met my eyes, and I felt the sting in my throat.

"We're talking about visible user data," he continued.

"Even opt-in doesn't protect us from the exposure risk. If we geo-tag anything tied to activism or vulnerability, we open the door to doxxing. Stalking. Legal liability. You're building a map that tells people where to go-but it could just as easily tell bad actors where to find them."

A hush fell.

Yoongi didn't move, but I felt the shift beside me-his gaze flicking to me now, sharper, a quiet edge of concern just beneath the surface.

He wasn't intervening-not yet-but he was watching. Ready.

I inhaled slowly.

"We've modeled that risk," I replied, professional but firm.

"Supporters are anonymized. Locations are city-based, not pinpointed. We use encrypted relays and randomized ID routing. No personal data exposure. And we could add extra safety modes-only visible in urgent flag situations, or to verified responders."
