Chapter 99: Of Roots and Rooms 🔥

Start from the beginning

He kissed me back like I was oxygen.
Like this was the only thing tethering him to the earth.

When we finally parted, his chest heaved and his pupils were blown.

And then Joon kissed him.
If mine was oxygen, Joon's was fire.

Raw. Desperate.

Unhinged in that careful, deliberate way he did everything-with full intent and no restraint.

Taehyung gasped into it, his head falling back slightly as Joon took his time, like tasting something he'd been craving for years.

My own breath caught watching them-watching Tae give into it, his fingers curling in the fabric of Joon's hoodie like he never wanted to let go.

I leaned in again, letting my lips drag slowly down Taehyung's neck, soft kisses trailing along the flushed skin.

"I love you," I murmured, over and over, letting my hand ghost down his body.

"I love you, Taehyung."

He whimpered, hands tightening in both our shirts. "Please don't stop saying that."

"We won't," Joon whispered against his lips. "Not ever."

From the living room, there was a sudden burst of laughter-Yoongi's dry chuckle, Hobi's playful squeal, Jungkook's shy laugh layered with Y/N's delighted sigh.

The sound filtered through the walls like a heartbeat.

And for a moment, everything paused.

"I want this forever," Tae whispered.

"All of it. All of you."

"You have us," I promised, kissing the soft skin below his ear. "You always will."

Joon pulled back just enough to press his forehead against Tae's. "You're our heart, Tae."

"Then you're mine," he breathed, eyes flickering shut. "All of you are."

Taehyung's POV

The door clicked shut with a finality that made my breath catch.

Joon hyung didn't speak right away.
He didn't have to.

The sound of the lock sliding into place was enough-it carried weight, intention, promise.

I was still nestled between Jin hyung's legs, head resting against his thigh, his fingers lazily carding through my hair, grounding me.

The storm inside me had quieted since earlier, but it hadn't passed.

Not completely.

What remained was this humming ache beneath my skin-something raw and wanting.

Jin hyung leaned down and kissed me, slow and sweet, like he had all the time in the world and wanted to taste every second of it.

His lips were soft but certain, and I felt myself melt into the press of his mouth, into the curve of his palm cupping my cheek.

Joon hyung's voice rolled through the silence like thunder wrapped in velvet.

"Take your shirt off, baby bear. Let me see all of you."

My breath hitched.
My fingers twitched at the hem of my shirt.

I could feel both of their eyes on me-heavy, hungry, but wrapped in devotion.

There was nothing casual about their gazes.
