"You and me both," Hobi grinned, and they hugged again-tighter this time.
And the rest of us?
We just smiled, hearts bursting.
Because we were watching the beginning of something beautiful.
Yoongi stood next, slowly. His jaw was tight, but I could see the shimmer in his eyes.
He walked toward Jungkook like the air had gotten heavier, like he wasn't quite sure if he was allowed to be close yet.
"We've... never met in person," he said quietly.
"Just those few messages, back before..."
Jungkook looked up at him, eyes already red.
"I remember. You told me you hoped I'd find peace in my heart."
Yoongi nodded. "I meant it."
Jungkook swallowed. "I read it a hundred times. I just didn't think I deserved it."
Yoongi's voice cracked, barely audible.
"You do."
Then-hesitantly-he opened his arms.
Jungkook stepped into them instantly.
And they stood there, arms tight around each other.
Yoongi's chin rested on the younger man's shoulder, and his hand gripped the back of Jungkook's shirt like he was holding onto something he'd lost.
"I've wanted to meet you for so long," he whispered.
"I've always wanted to be worthy of that," Jungkook replied.
Jin oppa was next.
His posture was straight, shoulders squared, but I could see the way his fingers shook. He approached slowly.
"I'm Kim Seokjin," he said formally.
Jungkook let out a breath.
"I know. I remember what you said in your message, too. That... that you would never hate me. Even if I never came back."
Oppa's throat worked around a tight swallow. "And I meant that too."
"I thought you'd hate me the most,"
Jungkook admitted.
Jin oppa reached forward, gently adjusting Jungkook's collar like it was second nature.
"I was angry. But never at you. Only at what you were made to believe."
Jungkook's eyes filled again.
And then Jin oppa smiled.
"You're here. That's what matters now."
"I want to earn your trust," Jungkook said.
"You don't have to earn it," Oppa replied.
"You already have it."
Namjoon stood last, tall and gentle.
His hands were in his coat pockets, eyes warm behind his glasses.
"We've never met either," he said quietly.
"Only once. A message you never answered."
"I wanted to," Jungkook said.
"You said that I didn't have to know all the answers to belong. That love would wait."
Joon smiled. "It did."
Jungkook stared up at him, awe in his gaze. "You're really... real."
"Still here," Namjoon replied. "Still ready."
