Chapter 81: Under the Christmas Lights

Start from the beginning

"I love you too, my baby bear."

The last gift is from Yoongi hyung, and the moment I see the shape of it, my heart stutters.

A vintage film camera.

My hands shake as I turn it over, running my fingers along the lens.

"I thought you might like a new way to capture memories," Yoongi hyung murmurs.

I lift my eyes to his, my throat thick.

He just smiles, handing me the next gift.

A scrapbook.

But when I open it-
The pages are empty.

The cover reads "For the Memories We Haven't Made Yet."

A sharp breath leaves me.
"Hyung..."

"For the memories you'll make," Yoongi hyung murmurs, his voice low and warm. "I know you love photography, and I figured-why not let you create something that's all yours?"

I clutch the scrapbook to my chest, my breath shaky as I try to hold back the overwhelming emotions swelling in my chest.

Yoongi hyung watches me with that soft, knowing gaze of his-the one that says he understands me even when I can't put my feelings into words.

I sniff, rubbing at my nose before I carefully set the scrapbook down. Then, without a second thought, I crawl into his lap, curling against his chest.

He lets out a soft chuckle, but his arms wrap around me immediately, holding me close.

"We still have so many moments left to fill, Jagiya."

I swallow the lump in my throat and nod.

"Yeah, We do."

"Thank you, hyung," I whisper against his shoulder, my voice muffled.

He hums, pressing a lazy kiss to the top of my head. "You're welcome, cub."

And then I see the last package.

A teddy bear.
But not just any teddy bear.

An exact replica of my giant one-except small enough to travel with me.

I press my lips together, my fingers trembling as I lift it.

"You kept taking your giant bear everywhere," Yoongi teases, but his voice is impossibly fond.

"Figured this might be easier."

I clutch it to my chest. "Hyung."

"Press the paw."

I do.
And then-his voice.

"I love you, brat."

My vision blurs.

I let out a shaky breath, my arms tightening around the bear.

And then, before I can stop myself, I turn my body to Yoongi Hyung and wrap my arms around his neck, knocking him flat on his back.

He oofs but doesn't push me away, just grunts when I bury my face into his chest.

"I love you, too," I mumble against his sweater.

His arms come up around me, fingers threading through my hair.

I feel a gentle kiss pressed to the top of my head.

But it's not enough.

I lift my head, meeting his eyes-those deep, dark pools that have always held me steady. And then, without hesitation, I cup his face and kiss him.
