-Flashback-
Three days.
That's how long it had been since Jin kissed me in his office.
Three excruciating days.
I hadn't called him. He hadn't called me.
But I couldn't stop thinking about it. About him.
About the way he looked at me before he kissed me-like he was at war with himself, like he hated how much he wanted it, hated how much he wanted me.
So, I broke first. I picked up the phone and called.
The moment he answered, I didn't hesitate.
"Let's have dinner."
Jin was silent.
I could hear his hesitation, could hear the smirk he was probably fighting back, like he was debating whether to tease me or take me seriously.

When he stepped out, the faint glow of my lanterns caught on his sharp features-his perfectly styled hair, the crisp folds of his dark coat, the lingering tension in his jaw.
His eyes found mine across the open field.
For a second, he just stood there. Looking at me.
Like he was trying to figure something out.
I exhaled slowly. "You actually came."
Jin scoffed, stepping forward, hands shoved in his coat pockets. "You invited me."
"Didn't mean you'd say yes."
He smirked. "Neither did I."
But he did. And that was all that mattered.
