Jin oppa sighs beside me, shoving his gloved hands into the pockets of his coat.
"So," he says, voice laced with amusement, "wanna talk about how we completely traumatized the entire restaurant staff last night?"
I snort, as Jin oppa just shakes his head, fighting off his own grin.
"You mean Tae, just casually dropping the most unhinged narration I’ve ever heard—"
Oppa pauses mid-step, looking up at the sky as if questioning all his life choices. “I mean did he really have to tell everyone like that"
I wheeze, covering my face with my hands. “The way Yoongi looked like he was about to combust—”
Jin oppa laughs, his broad shoulders shaking. “I thought Namjoon was going to choke on his food, but nope—he just owned it.”
I shake my head, still wheezing. “I swear to God, I thought Yoongi was going to flip the table. He looked physically pained.”
Oppa chuckles, rubbing a hand down his face. “I don’t know what’s worse—the fact that Tae just casually announced it over dinner, or the fact that Joon agreed with him like it was some kind of collaborative experience.”
Jin oppa sighs, looking up at the sky like it holds all the answers to his suffering. “The worst part? This isn’t even the most chaotic thing that’s happened to us.”
I gasp, turning to him with wide eyes. “Oh my God. Yoongi.”
Jin oppa groans immediately, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Do not bring that up.”
I grab his arm, already crying from laughter. “His face when he saw the car basically drift in front of him to pick him up!”
Oppa makes an actual pained noise, dragging a hand down his face. “Please, don’t remind me. I've never driven that fast in my life. That moment haunts me.”
I clutch my stomach, laughing so hard I almost slip on the ice. “Tae was this close to throwing himself out of the moving van.”
Oppa finally breaks, laughing. “Namjoon’s face! He looked like he was about to resign from life.”
I gasp, gripping his arm. “Yoongs didn’t even say anything. He just got in, sat down, and radiated pure disappointment.”
Jin oppa groans again, shaking his head. “I swear, when he got in the van, I felt my soul leave my body.”
We both dissolve into laughter again, our voices echoing against the trees.
It’s moments like this—where everything feels easy, where the weight of the world doesn’t exist—that I realize just how much I love him.
After a moment, Jin oppa sighs, his laughter fading into something softer. “You know,” he murmurs
“as insane as everything has been… I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”
I smile, nudging him gently. “Me neither, oppa.”
He nods, his gaze drifting ahead. “It feels… warm. Familiar. Like—"
He hesitates, then exhales. “Like home.”
My chest tightens.
I slip my hand into his, squeezing gently. “That’s because it is home, oppa.”
He looks down at me, his eyes searching mine. “Even with all the chaos?”
I smile. “Especially with the chaos.”
Jin oppa chuckles, shaking his head. “You’re insane, sweetheart.”
I smirk. “That’s why I fit in.”
