He's wrapped in a light beige cardigan, relaxed and cozy, draped over a simple white tee with a soft V-neck that brushes gently against his collarbone.
His jeans-faded and slightly torn-fit like they were made for him, while his crisp white sneakers make the whole look seem effortless, like he just happens to be this perfect.
And his face-God, his face.
Brown curls tousled by the breeze, lips tugged into that familiar, lazy smirk. But it's his eyes that undo me.
They light up the second he sees me, shining with that spark only he carries, like I've just made his entire morning by stepping outside.
His smile-bright and unguarded-makes the casual layers feel intentional, like warmth and ease are stitched into every thread, as if he naturally carries comfort wherever he goes.
And just like that, mine belongs to him.
The city melts away-its sounds, its people, the chaos-all of it blurs at the edges. All I see is Taehyung, sitting there like I'm the only thing that matters.
"Hyung," he sing-songs, grinning. "Took you long enough."
I smirk, strolling up to him.
"Are you really in a position to call me slow? Last I checked, you're always the last one to get ready."
He gasps dramatically, placing a hand over his heart. "Excuse me?! I was early today. I deserve a prize."
I reach out and ruffle his curls, laughing when he squeaks in protest. "There. Your prize."
Taehyung pouts, swatting at my hand, but he's giggling too. And then, before I can react, he reaches forward, grabs my waist, and pulls me closer.
My breath stumbles.
His hands rest comfortably on my hips as he tilts his head up at me, eyes twinkling with something playful, something sweet.
"You look good, Joonie hyung," he murmurs, voice soft. "Like, really good."
I exhale, my heart doing something ridiculous in my chest.
I lean in slightly, voice dropping. "You trying to distract me, bear cub?"
He grins. "Is it working?"
Oh, it's working.
I chuckle, shaking my head before stepping back-just enough to keep myself from doing something impulsive.
"Come on, let's ride before you completely ruin me."
Taehyung beams, gripping the handlebars of his bike. "Too late, hyung."
With that, he pushes off, pedaling ahead of me. I laugh, shaking my head as I hop onto my own bike and chase after him.
We weave through the city streets, moving effortlessly past morning pedestrians and traffic. Taehyung takes the lead, guiding me toward the park, his laughter floating in the air every time I call out for him to slow down.
He does not slow down.
Instead, he turns his head, flashing me the biggest, cheekiest grin.
"Hyung," he teases. "You're not gonna let your cute younger soulmate beat you, are you?"
I smirk. "You wanna bet?"
With that, I push forward, pedaling harder, and Taehyung yelps before breaking into giggles.
"No, no, no-" he shrieks, trying to speed up. "HYUNG, I TAKE IT BACK-"
I catch up to him easily, reaching out to lightly tap his shoulder. "Too late, bear cub."
