Chapter 67: Fairy Lights and First Kisses

Start from the beginning

The moment we step out of the car, I feel like my entire body is vibrating with warmth.

My heart is light, my fingers are tingling, and I swear the world looks softer, dreamier—like everything has been dipped in golden light.

Because we kissed.
We finally kissed.

And it was everything.

The way Jin hyung held me, firm and steady, like he was afraid to let go.

The way his lips moved against mine, warm and slow, like he was memorizing me.

The way he looked at me after—breathless, flushed, happy.

God, I want to kiss him again.

Right now.
All the time.
Forever.

Instead, I settle for holding his hand. Again.

Which I think is becoming a theme today.

Jin hyung doesn’t say anything about it, just laces his fingers through mine like it’s second nature.

And maybe it is.
Maybe we were always meant to be like this.

Maybe it was always leading to this moment.

I squeeze his hand lightly as we make our way toward my apartment building, the small plush tiger tucked securely under my other arm.

Jin hyung side-eyes me, smirking. "So… what's next, oh great date planner?"

I beam. "You'll see!"

He chuckles, shaking his head. “You’ve said that for every stop, and yet, I still have no idea what’s coming.”

“That’s the point, hyung.” I grin, tugging him toward the entrance. “You just have to trust me.”

Hyung sighs dramatically. "First, you made me suffer through your tragic attempt at ice skating, then you lured me to your apartment. I feel like I should be worried."

I blink innocently. "Why would you be worried?"

Jin hyung raises a brow. “Because, Taehyung, we both know what happens in romance dramas when the cute younger one drags the handsome older one to their place at night.”

I bite back a laugh. “Oh? And what does happen, hyung?”

Hyung leans in slightly, voice dropping into a teasing whisper. “You take advantage of me.”

I wheeze.

“Oh my god,” I choke, laughing so hard I nearly drop the tiger plushie. "Hyung!"

Jin hyung throws his head back dramatically. “Poor, innocent me! Tricked into a night of passionate romance! I never saw it coming!”

I slap his arm, still giggling. "You're so dramatic!"

Hyung smirks, giving my hand a squeeze. "You love it."

…He’s not wrong.

We step into the elevator, and I press the button for the top floor.

Jin hyung eyes it, then eyes me.

Then—
His eyes widen.

"Wait," he gasps, hand flying to his chest. "Are you taking me to the rooftop?"

I hum nonchalantly. "Maaaybe."

Jin hyung gapes.

"TAE. Are you—" he points dramatically at me, then at the ceiling, then back at me.

"Are you pushing me off the building tonight???"

I burst out laughing.

Hyung clutches his face in mock horror.
