I laugh once more shaking my head at his dramatics as I reach for the door.

I reach for the rooftop door, still laughing at Jin hyung, who is still crouching dramatically behind a pillow like he’s in a horror movie.
“I swear, Taehyung,” he huffs from his hiding spot, “if it’s Namjoon or Yoongi coming to ‘talk’ to me about our romantic connection notification, I’m jumping off this rooftop.”
I snort, shaking my head as I pull the door open.
It’s not Yoongi hyung.
Not Joonie hyung.
Not some long-lost soulmate.
It’s delivery.
A deliveryman in a warm jacket, holding a giant bag of food and a smaller bag filled with drinks.
“Kim Taehyung-ssi?” he asks, glancing at his phone.
“That’s me!” I grin, taking the bags. “Thank you!”
He bows politely before heading back downstairs, leaving me standing in the doorway, grinning.
Behind me, hyung peeks out from behind his pillow, cautiously standing up. “Wait… was that—?”
I turn, beaming. “I ordered us food!”
Jin blinks. “Food?”
“Not just any food.” I walk toward him, dramatically shaking the bag. “Fried chicken. From your favorite place.”
Jin gasps.
Like, full-body gasp.
His hands fly to his chest like I’ve just told him I’m giving him the secret to eternal youth.
“You didn’t.”
“I did.”
Hyung stares.
I lift the bag higher, shaking it enticingly. “Fried chicken, sides, and drinks. All your favorites. Just for you, hyung.”
Hyung just looks at me—his eyes wide, his lips slightly parted, his expression shifting from shock to something I can’t quite place.
And then—
He lunges.
Before I can react, he grabs me, arms wrapping around me in a tight, breath-stealing hug.
“Tae,” he says, voice muffled against my hair, “I love you.”
My heart stops.
Then—races.
Heat floods my face. “Hyung—”
“You got me fried chicken.” Jin hyung pulls back just enough to hold my face in his hands, staring at me like I hung the stars. “From my favorite place.”
I giggle. “Of course I did.”
Jin hyung exhales, shaking his head like he can’t believe it. “God, I’m so weak for you.”
Before I can process that statement, he grabs the bags from my hands and practically skips over to the cushions, already opening the boxes like an overexcited kid on Christmas morning.
I shake my head, laughing, as I follow him.
The night air is perfectly crisp, cool but not too cold.
The fire pit flickers warmly beside us, and the city stretches endlessly beyond the rooftop, twinkling against the dark sky.
Jin hyung is in his element.
He’s humming as he takes his first bite of chicken, actually swaying in happiness.
His face melts into pure bliss, eyes fluttering shut as he chews.
