I swallow thickly. "It's-it's amazing, Tae."
"Good," he says softly. Then, "You know... watching you enjoy food like this? It's dangerous."
My stomach flips. "Dangerous?"
He leans forward, voice dropping to a sinful murmur. "Yeah. Makes me want to ruin you in the best way."
I whimper.
Like actually make a noise that would have Wacha judging me from home.
His smirk deepens. "You okay, noona?"
I grip my fork like a lifeline. "Y-You're impossible."
"Mm, but you like it," he says, taking a sip of his drink, gaze never leaving mine.
"You're flirting so hard right now," I accuse, face burning.
He shrugs, looking maddeningly pleased. "Can you blame me? Look at you."
I think I black out for a second.
The waiter arrives just in time with a small bowl of atsara and lumpia, and Tae thanks him politely before turning back to me like he wasn't just sending my soul to the heavens.
He slides the lumpia toward me. "For you."
I bite into it, grateful for the distraction-but he's still watching me. Every move, every soft sigh I make as I eat, he registers it all like he's composing a song.
Finally, I exhale, eyes closing briefly. "This is...a great date so far."
Tae's voice is soft but with an undercurrent of promise. "It's only the beginning."
When I open my eyes, he's closer. His knee brushes against mine beneath the table.
"You've been the one holding us all together, noona," he murmurs, sincerity blooming in every word. "Making sure we're okay. Making sure I'm okay."
I blink, caught off guard.
His hand covers mine on the table, thumb stroking soft circles. "Let me do this for you, okay? Let me spoil you."
My throat tightens. "Tae, you don't have to-"
"I want to," he says, no room for argument. "You're mine to take care of now."
That shouldn't sound as scandalous as it does. And yet-
"Mine," he repeats, voice lower, eyes burning. "Say it."
I squeak. "W-What?"
He smirks. "Say you're mine."
I bury my face in my hands. "Oh my God."
He laughs, utterly delighted. "You're adorable when you're shy."
The meal continues with him alternating between being the perfect gentleman, refilling my water, cutting portions for me and a dangerously sexy menace, whispering things like-
"If you keep looking at me like that, I'm going to forget we're in public."
"You've got no idea how pretty you look when you enjoy yourself like this."
"Should I make sure you never lift a finger today? I could carry you everywhere."
I'm not okay. Not even a little.
By the time dessert arrives-a beautifully plated leche flan with caramel sauce glistening-I'm on the verge of combusting entirely.
He leans in, eyes soft but smoldering.
"Noona," he whispers. "You've got me completely wrapped around your finger, you know that?"
I breathe out shakily. "Tae..."
