I stop breathing.
His thumb traces the edge of my cheekbone, slow and unsure, like he doesn't realize he's doing it until it's already happening.
His eyes follow the movement, dark and intense, before he blinks suddenly-like he's snapping out of something-and pulls away, turning to face the windshield again.
Too quick. Too obvious.
I bite back a smile. "Hyung."
He groans, squeezing his eyes shut. "Drive."
I chuckle, but my heart is racing just a little.
And I know-so is his.
The rest of the ride is filled with gentle touches, lingering glances, hands never parting.
I know something for certain.
We didn't just win today.
Something between us shifted.
And I never want to go back.

The energy between us feels different. Not in a way that's obvious-nothing big, nothing loud.
But it's there.
A quiet shift, something settled, something that makes every touch linger a little longer, every glance feel heavier, every moment a little more charged.
And neither of us are running from it.
Yoongi hyung's fingers are still laced with mine as I steer with one hand, the road stretching out ahead of us.
We could've gone straight home, but the day is still young, and honestly? I don't want this day to end just yet.
I glance at him, grinning. "Hyung, how do you feel about an impromptu picnic?"
Yoongi hyung raises an eyebrow, but his thumb brushes against my palm absentmindedly, like he's gotten too comfortable touching me now. "Do we even have food for a picnic?"
I smirk. "Not yet. That's what drive-thrus are for."
Yoongi hyung huffs a small laugh, shaking his head. "You just want an excuse to make me eat outside like a drama scene, don't you?"
I gasp dramatically. "How dare you? This is about enjoying the beautiful weather."
Yoongi hyung side-eyes me. "Uh-huh."
I grin wider, squeezing his hand before lifting it slightly and pressing a quick, fleeting kiss to the back of his palm.
Yoongi hyung short-circuits.
He jerks slightly in his seat, his ears instantly turning pink, and I have to bite back a laugh at the way he stares at me like I just personally ruined his entire ability to function.
"You-" He gapes, flustered. "Did you just-"
I hum innocently. "Did I what?"
Yoongi hyung sputters for a second before groaning and rubbing his temple with his free hand.
"I'm going to die today."
I chuckle, still holding his hand as we pull into the drive-thru lane of Subway.
The moment we reach the speaker, Yoongi hyung sighs. "You're not letting go to order, are you?"
"Nope," I say cheerfully.
He groans but doesn't pull away.
I roll down the window, grinning as I greet the worker. "Good day! We'll have two footlongs, please-one turkey and avocado, one steak and cheese. Oh, and two iced teas."
