I nudged Yoongi with my elbow. "They're so comfortable with each other now."
Yoongi glanced over, a rare softness settling in his eyes. "Yeah. Joon looks like he never left."
We both snickered, shaking our heads.
"He even knows where Jin Oppa keeps the wine glasses," I whispered, watching Joon slyly open a cabinet behind Tae.
"Of course he does," Yoongi muttered, fond and exasperated.
Meanwhile, in the living room, Tae was dramatically waving Yeontan's little paw like they were on a talk show. "Tell us, Tan-how does it feel to be in the lap of luxury?"
Namjoon laughed and ruffled Tae's hair.
"You're chaos."
"You love me."
"I really do."
Wacha jumped into Joon's lap, earning a surprised yelp, followed by Tae and Namjoon cackling.
Yoongi shook his head beside me. "That cat's got taste."
Jin Oppa peeked over his shoulder with a smirk.
"I don't know what's funnier-watching Joon try to survive Wacha, or seeing you all act like this penthouse isn't now your clubhouse."
I grinned at him. "So it's official?"
"Oh, it's official," Jin Oppa confirmed, sliding plates of food onto the table with a proud flourish.
As the laughter carried through the apartment, with Tae dramatically singing into a ladle and Joon pretending to be Wacha's translator, something inside me melted.
This wasn't just fun. It was us.
This was family.
The table was set in no time, and soon we were all gathered around it, plates piled high with Jin Oppa's cooking-perfectly seasoned bulgogi, sizzling garlic butter shrimp, japchae glistening under the soft dining lights.
Tae moaned dramatically after his first bite. "Hyung, you're not allowed to cook this good. It's illegal."
Oppa grinned as he chewed. "I'm Seoul's most handsome lawyer and best chef. I multitask."
Yoongi deadpanned, "Humble, too."
Namjoon chuckled from across the table, wine glass in hand. "He's always been like this."
I squinted at them suspiciously. "Always?"
Jin Oppa's spoon clattered just a little louder into his bowl.
Yoongi raised a brow, but before he could comment, Tae pointed his chopsticks at Namjoon. "Tell us more, Joonie-hyung."
Namjoon sipped his wine, eyes twinkling. "Maybe later."
Tae pouted. "No fair."
We fell into easy conversation as we ate, laughter echoing through the penthouse. Wacha perched on Jin Oppa's lap like royalty, while Yeontan snuck scraps from under the table courtesy of Tae.
"Stop spoiling him," Oppa warned without looking.
"I'm innocent," Tae grinned, sneaking another shrimp to Yeontan.
Yoongi rolled his eyes but smiled. "This house is already chaos."
"Best kind of chaos," Namjoon replied, raising his glass.
We clinked glasses, and I swear, my heart swelled even more.
At one point, I leaned into Yoongi and whispered, "They're like old friends."
