Chapter 60: A Love That Never Left

Start from the beginning

His team celebrated around him, and for the first time in so long, he stood tall, eyes bright, shoulders light.

Later that week, we all squeezed into Dr. Ji Woo's therapy office-me, Yoongi, Tae, Namjoon, and Jin Oppa, surrounding him like a protective circle.

Tae leaned into Oppa's side as Ji Woo spoke softly about healing, and Tae's hand found mine under the table, clutching tight.

"You're doing good, bear cub," Yoongi murmured, ruffling his hair.

Tae's voice came out soft, but sure. "Because you're here."

Namjoon made his presence known like he always did-confident, sure, magnetic.

He strolled into our EchoTech conference room, sleeves rolled up, laptop under one arm, and I felt Yoongi tense beside me.

Flustered but trying to act unaffected.

Namjoon grinned. "Yoongi hyung you good?"

Yoongi mumbled something unintelligible.

Namjoon turned to me next, that familiar gleam in his eye. "You too, Noona?"

I fiddled with my pen, cheeks heating. "W-We're good."

Yoongi grumbled under his breath, "We're doomed."

Evenings turned into our ritual.

Late-night ramen runs.

Tae arguing dramatically with Jin over the last dumpling, while Yoongi and I leaned into each other too full to intervene.

Namjoon, ever the peacekeeper, slid a dumpling onto Tae's plate with a smirk.

"You're my favorite hyung," Tae declared dramatically.

Yoongi glared. "Excuse me?"

"Second favorite!" Tae amended with a mouth full of noodles.

We laughed so hard the restaurant staff joined in.

Home became a blur of quiet comfort.

Wacha stretched across Yoongi's chest while Yeontan snuggled into Tae's lap.

Jin Oppa napped on my shoulder while Namjoon-sweet, steady Namjoon-draped a blanket over all of us.

"Our little chaos squad," Yoongi murmured beside me.

Tae yawned. "Best squad."

In the kitchen later, Yoongi and Namjoon playfully flicked water at each other as they washed dishes. I watched from the doorway, arms crossed.

"Children," I teased.

They grinned in unison. "Your children."

And Tae?
Tae bloomed.

He laughed louder. Smiled wider. Teased Yoongi more boldly, flirted with me more shamelessly, and challenged Namjoon with playful winks.

He found comfort in Jin Oppa's steady presence, leaning on him like an anchor.

We deepened too.

Yoongi kissed me more often, warm and slow, like he could never get enough.

Namjoon quietly slid into our rhythm, always looking out for us, always present.

Jin Oppa stopped lingering at the edges and let himself fall right into the middle of it all.

Weekends meant grocery runs.

Tae insisted on pushing the cart, only to crash into a fruit display. Yoongi sighed behind him like a parent resigned to chaos.

"Why are you like this?" Yoongi muttered.
