Chapter 60: A Love That Never Left

Start from the beginning

I ruffled Jin's hair. "You're an idiot."

Oppa hummed. "But I'm your idiot."

Yoongi huffed a laugh.

And immediately, a loud crash rang through the kitchen.

Silence.

We all turned to see shattered ceramic at Namjoon's feet, his hands still frozen mid-motion, eyes wide in horror.

Jin Oppa groaned, "Oh, come on."

Tae burst out laughing. "I knew it! You are the clumsiest person alive."

Yoongi pinched the bridge of his nose. "Namjoon. Why?"

Namjoon sputtered, stepping back like the broken plates might explode. "I-It just slipped!"

I shook my head, biting back a grin. "At this point, I'm convinced you have a personal vendetta against dishes."

Yoongi sighed dramatically. "That was my favorite plate too."

Namjoon looked genuinely distressed. "I'll buy you another one."

Yoongi waved him off. "Just-just step away before you break something else."

Tae leaned into me, still giggling. "This is why we can't have nice things."

Oppa snorted. "Honestly, I should've seen this coming. The amount of things you broke when we were together-" He cut himself off, blinking.

The room went still.

Namjoon's eyes widened slightly, realization dawning.

Jin Oppa froze too.

We all stared at them.

"Oh," I murmured.

"Oh," Tae echoed, blinking.

Yoongi coughed into his fist. "So. You two just casually admitted you used to date."

Jin Oppa's face was red, his ears nearly glowing. "I-I mean-" He cleared his throat, stabbing his spoon into his empty rice bowl like it had personally offended him.

"Whatever. That's not the point."

Namjoon, for once, looked genuinely flustered, rubbing the back of his neck as he avoided eye contact with anyone.

"Right. Uh. We should-" His gaze flickered to Jin Oppa before he quickly turned toward Yoongi. "The plates. I should... help clean up the plates."

Yoongi, far too entertained, snorted. "That's funny, because last I checked, you're the reason we need to clean up."

Namjoon groaned. "Hyung, please."

I bit my lip, torn between teasing and mercy. But ultimately, I exhaled and pushed my plate forward, making the conscious decision not to push them.

Not yet.

"So," I said lightly, as if the last two minutes of awkward tension hadn't happened. "Jin-oppa, you should finish eating before your food gets cold."

Tae, who had been quietly watching the entire exchange like a fascinated puppy, suddenly sat up straighter. "Wait. So you two were a couple?"

Jin Oppa froze.

Namjoon looked away.

Tae gasped. "Was this before of after Dara Noona-"

"Tae." My voice was sweet, but the warning was clear.

Tae blinked at me. Then at Yoongi, who had also leaned forward slightly, his dark eyes subtly narrowed in the way that meant he would drag Tae out of this room himself if he had to.
