Chapter 58: The Last Domino ⚠️

Start from the beginning

Tae froze, his breath hitching.

And then-he melted.
Completely.

Jin oppa looked away, exhaling slowly.

Yoongi's lips twitched, his eyes brighter, warmer than before.

I pressed my forehead to Tae's shoulder, whispering, "You won, Tae. You already won."

Tae let out a soft, shaky laugh.
"Not yet," he murmured. "But soon."

Oppa smirked. "Damn right."

Yoongi, his voice rich with warmth, ruffled Tae's hair. "And when it happens, baby bear? We'll be right there."

All of us.

Jisoo, watching, smiled knowingly. Woo Shik and Seojun chuckled under their breaths. Hyung Sik stretched his arms.

Then-
Jin leaned back, a satisfied gleam in his eyes.

The moment Mr. Choi realized he wasn't getting help, his next move was predictable.

He turned to his wife.

Jisoo's phone vibrated on the table. She glanced at the screen, then smirked, tilting her head toward us.

"Mrs. Choi just made an emergency visit to their lawyer's office."

Tae stiffened beside me, his grip tightening around his cup of tea. Yoongi noticed immediately, pressing a steady hand against his knee.

"She's trying to fight back?" Tae asked, voice even, but there was something unreadable beneath the surface.

Woo Shik leaned forward, the corner of his mouth twitching. "She's trying to save herself."

Jin oppa, across the table, tapped his pen against the stack of legal briefs, utterly unfazed.

"She knows what's coming. Mr. Choi is losing power fast. She's smart enough to realize that if she doesn't act now, she'll go down with him."

Namjoon, seated beside Yoongi, exhaled slowly. His presence was solid, grounding. His voice, deep and steady, was directed at Tae when he spoke.

"People like them? They never go down together."

Tae blinked, shifting slightly. "You think she'll turn on him?"

Seojun, who had been quiet until now, finally spoke. A slow, knowing smile stretched across his face.

"I'd bet on it."

Silence settled over the room as the weight of his words sank in.

Tae swallowed. "So what happens now?"

Oppa's voice was calm, certain.

"Now?" He smirked, leaning back in his chair, eyes gleaming.

"Now, we let them destroy each other."

Tae inhaled sharply.
And just like that-

The second domino fell.

For a moment, no one spoke.

This wasn't just about legal battles anymore. This was power slipping from the hands that had hurt Tae for years.

And Tae?

Tae was here. Watching it happen.

His fingers curled against his knee, his breath uneven. I reached over, squeezing his hand.

Yoongi's grip on his knee tightened. Namjoon shifted beside him, his warmth steady, protective.

Jin Oppa's smirk had faded slightly as he watched Tae carefully. This wasn't just a case to him. It never had been.
