Chapter 57: Coffee, Chaos, & Love

Inside the car, Tae yawned, stretching dramatically before hugging his gigantic teddy bear closer.

Yoongi, already anticipating the logistical nightmare that was getting this bear out of the car, sighed. "I swear, that thing has its own gravitational pull."

Joon chuckled as he unbuckled his seatbelt. "Alright, let's get this beast out before it takes up permanent residency in my car."

Tae gasped in betrayal. "Excuse me, his name is Teddy , and he has feelings."

I snickered "I thought his name was Fluffy?"

Tae unbothered just waved his hand "I changed my mind, his name is Teddy now"

Joon smirked. "Teddy is an obstacle between me and my backseat."

Tae clutched the bear dramatically. "Noona, they're bullying my child!"

I, of course, played along, gasping as I reached over to stroke the bear's fuzzy head. "How dare they. Teddy deserves respect."

Yoongi snorted. "Teddy deserves to stay in the trunk."

Tae whined while Namjoon popped open the door, stepping out to assist in the great Teddy Extraction Mission.

What followed was five full minutes of Joon and Yoongi struggling to maneuver the oversized bear out of the car.

It was made even more difficult by Tae trying to help but mostly just getting in the way, and me absolutely dying of laughter at the sight of two grown men fighting with a plush toy.

"Why is it stuck?!" Yoongi grunted, yanking at one of the bear's massive arms.

Namjoon groaned. "Because this thing is a monster!"

Tae, unhelpfully, kept giggling. "Be gentle! He's sensitive!"

Yoongi glared at him. "I am seconds away from disowning you."

Finally, after much grunting and maneuvering, the bear came free-sending Yoongi stumbling back slightly as Namjoon barely caught it.

Tae cheered. "My hero!" He dramatically hugged Namjoon, who just shook his head, amused.

Yoongi dusted himself off, muttering, "This is the dumbest thing I've ever done."

Joon chuckled, looking down at Tae, who was now happily cradling the bear. "You good, baby bear?"

Tae beamed. "Always."

Joon smiled, before turning to me and Yoongi. "I can pick you guys up tomorrow to head to Jin's firm?"

Yoongi, without hesitation, nodded. "Yeah. That'd be great."

Tae and I froze for a second, our hearts warming instantly at how effortlessly Yoongi had trusted Joon with that.

No hesitation.
No guardedness.
Just trust.

Tae and I exchanged a look-and then immediately grinned.
