Yoongi groaned. "Absolutely not."
Tae pouted. "You're no fun."
Yoongi flicked his forehead.
The teasing settled, but the warmth didn't.
Because-
Jin and Joon were getting there.
And we were watching it happen.
Not just the case.
Not just the fight for justice.
But them.
Finding each other again.
Piece by piece.
Just like us.
Laughter still hung in the air, warmth wrapping around us like a familiar embrace.
Tae stretched, his arms going above his head, Yeontan sprawled out on his lap, his tiny paws pressing into Tae's stomach.
Yoongi, always the picture of ease, had one leg propped up on the couch, fingers idly scratching behind Wacha's ear as she purred contently on my stomach.
And me?
I was just watching them, heart full.
Because despite everything-despite the war we were walking into, despite the weight of the battle ahead-
We had this.
Love. Laughter. Home.
And them.
Our soulmates.
The thought made me grin, a quiet giddiness bubbling inside me.
Tae caught it instantly, his eyes narrowing in playful suspicion.
"Noona."
I blinked innocently. "Yes, baby bear?"
Tae smirked. "You're thinking about them."
Yoongi snorted, not even looking up. "She's always thinking about them."
I gasped. "Excuse me, you make it sound like I'm obsessed-"
Tae gave me a look. "Oh, you so are."
Yoongi finally glanced at me, one brow raised. "Tell me I'm wrong."
I pouted, crossing my arms. "...I will not be taking further questions at this time."
Tae cackled, wiggling excitedly on the couch. "Let's talk about them."
I beamed. "Yes, let's."
Yoongi sighed. "Here we go."
Tae leaned forward, eyes twinkling. "Okay, okay. Best moment from tonight with Joon and Jin hyung. Go."
I gasped, immediately turning to Yoongi. "Oh, you first."
Yoongi groaned, running a hand down his face. "Why am I always first?"
Tae grinned. "Because you're so fun to watch."
I nodded solemnly. "It's true."
Yoongi grumbled but thought for a second before finally answering.
"When Joon paid for dinner," he said, deadpan.
Tae wheezed.
I groaned, smacking his arm. "Yoongi."
He smirked. "What? That man could probably buy the restaurant. It was a nice change."
Tae, still giggling, shook his head. "No, but seriously. Moment, Hyung."
Yoongi sighed, but something shifted in his expression.
He tapped his fingers against his knee. "Honestly?"
We both nodded eagerly.
Yoongi exhaled. "When he..." He trailed off, then cleared his throat.
"When he looked at me and said he'd pick us up again tomorrow."
