Chapter 57: Coffee, Chaos, & Love

Start from the beginning

Yoongi huffed a small laugh. "He was proud."

I softened. "Yeah."

Tae sighed, flopping back onto the couch. "They're so stupid for each other."

Yoongi stretched. "And we haven't even talked about the way Jin-hyung kept stealing his glances."

I gasped dramatically. "He was."

Tae rolled over onto his stomach. "Hyung tried so hard to be all professional and serious, but we saw him."

Yoongi chuckled. "Hyung has the worst poker face."

Tae nodded. "He's so fond."

I grinned. "He is. And then Namjoon-God, the way he kept subtly pulling Jin Oppa into conversations."

Yoongi hummed. "Not just that. The way Jin-hyung responded to it."

Tae tilted his head. "How do you mean?"

Yoongi leaned back, his gaze thoughtful. "He'd start with that little sarcastic quip, but then... he'd soften. Like he liked being drawn in."

I blinked. "Oh my God, you're right."

Tae let out a tiny squeal. "I knew it."

Yoongi chuckled. "Yeah. He's still guarded, but... he's letting Joon in."

Tae sighed dreamily. "I love that for them."

I wiggled my fingers dramatically. "The slow-burn romance of our generation."

Tae nodded sagely. "They don't even realize how obvious they are."

Yoongi smirked. "Or maybe it's not a slow burn but like a return of an old love of sort. Falling in love with each other all over again."

I gasped. "Oh, absolutely."

Tae groaned, burying his face into Yeontan's fur. "Ugh, they're so frustrating."

Yoongi chuckled, running a hand through his hair. "Give it time."

I smiled, nudging Tae. "It's happening. Slowly but surely."

Tae peeked up at me, eyes twinkling. "And we get front-row seats."

Yoongi snorted. "Unfortunately."

Tae grinned. "Oh, Hyung, you love it."

Yoongi just sighed, rolling his eyes.
But he didn't deny it.
And that was enough.

"OH! And before we forget," Tae wheezed, "do you remember the way Jin-hyung's ears turned red when Joon-hyung ordered his coffee?"

I gasped, clutching my chest dramatically remembering the words and mimicking Joon.

"'Did you think I would ever forget?'"

Tae squealed, kicking his feet. "The way Hyung looked at him!"

Yoongi smirked. "Jin-hyung crashed after that."

I nodded, wiggling my fingers. "Glitching. Completely."

Tae clutched his teddy bear. "They definitely have history."

I hummed. "Oh, for sure. The tension was thick."

Yoongi raised an eyebrow. "Thicker than Tae's teddy bear?"

Tae gasped, horrified. "How dare you."

I giggled. "I'm just saying. That moment? Intense."

Tae nodded sagely. "They have unfinished business."

Yoongi hummed. "You think they'll ever talk about it?"

I smirked. "Eventually."

Tae wiggled his eyebrows. "Or we help."
