Chapter 54: The Countdown || Part 1 ⚠️

Start from the beginning

"We're here," I whisper.

Tae nods slowly, exhaling a small, shaky breath.

And then-he smiles.

It's soft. Barely there. But it's real.
And that's enough.

The night ends lighter, laughter bubbling back into the air as Nari gleefully tells the story of Yoongi's birthday party from a year ago.

"How do I even say this, Unnie?" she starts, grinning wickedly. "Yoongi Oppa, your girlfriend was so jealous of me that day."

Yoongi groans, already pinching the bridge of his nose.

Tae perks up immediately, looking at me with wide, amused eyes. "Noona? You were jealous?"

I bury my face in my hands. "Oh my god."

Nari cackles, clapping her hands. "She was there to surprise Oppa for his Birthday only to find me at his house in his apron cooking for him, she thought I was his woman!"

Hannah gasps dramatically. "Scandalous."

Jeoff shakes his head, grinning. "Poor Y/N."

Yoongi chuckles, finally glancing at me, his gaze teasing, warm. "You did think she was my girlfriend."

I groan again, shoving his arm. "In my defense, I didn't know she was your sister!"

Tae laughs so hard he nearly falls out of his seat. "Noona, this is amazing."

Yoongi smirks. "She didn't talk to me for 30 mins"

"I was embarrassed, okay?!" I huff.

Everyone bursts into laughter-the kind that makes your chest feel light, your eyes sting in the best way.

I look around the table-Tae's face flushed from laughing too hard, Nari wiping at her tears, Yoongi's mom smiling at all of us like she's found something she never knew she needed.

And I think-
This is love.
This is family.

Tae has another family now.
And that's all that matters.

Namjoon's POV

Dara tricked me.

And I-like a complete idiot-fell for it.
I stand frozen, staring at the man sitting in front of me.

Jin.
