Chapter 52: Steady, Sure, & Absolutely Lethal

Start from the beginning

I'm still grinning, unable to hold back. "You flustered Yoongi."

Namjoon's smug turns into a grin, slow and knowing. "He's been flustered all night, you know."

I tilt my head. "I mean, yeah, I saw that, but-"

"No, you saw ONE just now," Namjoon corrects, amusement dancing in his eyes.

"I've been doing a lot of that to him all night."

I stare.

Then, I laugh. "You planned that?"

Namjoon shrugs, taking a sip of his drink. "Planned? No. But I expected it."

I gape at him. "You've been making Yoongi shy on purpose?"

He hums thoughtfully. "Not on purpose..."

I narrow my eyes. "Liar."

Namjoon grins. "Okay, fine. Maybe a little."

I shake my head in disbelief. "And how exactly have you been doing that?"

His smirk deepens. "Wouldn't you like to know?"

I groan. "Namjoon."

He chuckles but doesn't elaborate, just glances across the room-back to where Yoongi is sitting, still not looking this way.

And then-
Namjoon tilts his head just slightly.
Like he's testing something.

And sure enough-
Across the room, Yoongi glances up.

The second their eyes meet-
Yoongi freezes.

Again.

But this time, instead of just looking away, he blinks rapidly, his lips parting slightly like he's trying to figure out how the hell this keeps happening.

And Namjoon-
Namjoon grins.

Yoongi immediately looks away, ears pink.

And that's when I lose it.

I burst out laughing, covering my mouth with my hand.

Namjoon, completely unbothered, watches me with amusement. "You really enjoy this, huh?"

"Oh my god," I wheeze, "you are so evil."

He shrugs. "Not evil. Just observant."

I shake my head, still giggling. "I cannot believe you."

Namjoon just looks smug. "He is adorable."

I snort. "You tell him that and he might actually die."

Namjoon smirks. "Oh, I have told him that, an hour ago"

I laugh at that, already picturing Yoongi combusting on the spot. "You like watching him flustered, don't you?"

Namjoon doesn't even hesitate. "I love it."
