Then, the door swings open, and Dara walks in.

Even outside of work, she looks effortlessly polished-long, dark hair sleek and cascading over her shoulders, wearing a fitted beige blazer over a cream silk blouse.

She carries herself the same way she always does: with confidence, with ease, like she belongs wherever she stands.

She spots us and waves, striding over with a bright smile.

"Y/N, Suga," she greets, sliding into the seat across from us. "I'm glad you called. I was starting to think you two only existed within the walls of EchoTech."

Yoongi huffs a small laugh. "We don't get out much."

Dara tilts her head at me, amused. "And yet, I get the feeling this isn't just a casual dinner."

I take a deep breath, exchanging a glance with Yoongi before turning back to her.
"It's not."

Her smile fades slightly, her posture shifting as she picks up on the shift in mood. "What's going on?"

I hesitate, unsure how to begin.

Yoongi, ever steady, takes the lead.

His voice is calm, but there's something restrained beneath it. "It's about our soulmate. Taehyung."

Dara's brows lift slightly. "I've never met him."

"You will soon," I say softly. "But first... we need your help."

And so we tell her.

About Taehyung's past. About the abuse. About the stolen inheritance, the manipulation, the bruises that lasted years after he escaped.

We tell her about the night he decided to fight back. About the promises we made to him.

And finally-about the lawyers. The lack of progress. The endless waiting, the excuses, the way we're losing before we've even started.

Dara listens in complete silence.

She doesn't interrupt.

She doesn't take notes like she would in a meeting. She just listens, her expression unreadable, her fingers steepled together as she absorbs every detail.

Then-

"Are you fucking kidding me?"

The words burst from her lips, sharp and furious.

Yoongi and I both blink.

Because Dara never swears.

Not at work. Not in meetings. She is always polished, always poised, always saying the right thing at the right time.

But right now, she is furious.

"You're telling me this has been going on for three weeks? And your lawyers have done nothing?" She scoffs, shaking her head. "This isn't a complicated case. It's a fucking criminal case. It's abuse. It's financial exploitation. It's illegal. What kind of incompetent-"

She stops herself, exhaling sharply.

Then she looks at us. And for the first time, I don't see the polished business executive.

I see a person.

A woman who is livid on our behalf. Who is outraged for Taehyung, despite never having met him.

"We're not letting them get away with this," she says firmly. "I don't care what it takes. I'll talk to my fiancé. I'll make sure he does something about it. If he can't take the case himself, he'll find someone who can. Someone who actually gives a damn."
