Yoongi shifts beside him. "What do you mean?"

Taehyung swallows.

"It was debt."
My stomach drops.

Yoongi's breath hitches.
"My aunt and uncle's debt."

Yoongi's hands fist into the couch. "They put it on you?"

"They never paid for my schooling," Taehyung whispers. "The law firm was covering it as part of an agreement."

"What agreement?" I ask, heart pounding.
His eyes darken.

"The one where I agreed to it."

Yoongi stiffens.
"No."

Taehyung nods.

"I told them I never agreed to anything," he says. "But they showed me the document."

A pause.
And then, voice barely above a whisper-"My thumbprint was there."

I gasp.
Yoongi snaps. "What the fuck?"

Tears pool in Taehyung's eyes. "I never signed it."

Yoongi shakes beside him. "How-"

Taehyung's breath shudders.

His voice is so small when he speaks next.
"It was one of those nights."

And my stomach twists.

A blurry vision.

Taehyung's voice cracks.
"They forced me."
