Chapter 34: Dinners & Existential Crisis

His small gestures, I can see him wanting to touch Tae a few times, but only to stop midway.

Probably not wanting to spook Tae out or surprise him.

I snicker and nudge Yoongi as he playfully swats me like I'm distracting him.

He's reading the presentation deck as if it's the first time he's seen it when it's been on screen for 30mins now.

I feel my phone buzz again and reads a new message from Tae, snickering as I feel Yoongi sneaking a glance at my screen, clearly excited to see Tae's messages.

He's actually squirming, probably imagining holding you tight in an embrace right now.

I see Yoongi getting all flustered. I laugh as he tries to steal my phone away, doing his best to stop me from sending the message.

But oh well, SENT!

"Oh god, I hate you, just be glad I love you" he whispers as I see him pout and look away, his ears still red.

I cover my face with my hand trying to stop myself to squeal from his cuteness!

I'm just glad that everyone around us is so busy celebrating that they didn't notice our little moment there.

Well except for Yeona who clearly just watched the entire scene, I can see her eyes full of amusement at the display of emotions from Yoongi.

Mr. Lee wraps up the meeting, but the mood remains high.
"Before we finish up, I have some fantastic news. The Speak Yourself Foundation has been absolutely thrilled with the success of the project so far. They've decided to treat us all to dinner tonight to celebrate and also give updates on their end. They're also eager to discuss future collaborations. So, everyone, be there. They want to show their appreciation."

Everyone breaks into cheers, but I feel a little extra giddy. I'm really looking forward to the dinner-not just because it's a celebration, but because I know that Namjoon will be there.

I can't help the flutter in my stomach at the thought of seeing him again.

"Should be fun," Yoongi mutters, his eyes gleaming as he looks at me. "And I get to see Namjoon again, so it's just just like a cherry on top of the perfect ice cream."

I grin, giving him a playful side-eye. "Yeah, I think you're looking forward to it more than I am."

Yoongi leans back in his chair, a sly grin curling on his lips. "What can I say? The guy's got a lot of charisma."

As the meeting wraps up and the team begins to file out of the boardroom, the excitement from the updates and success of the app still lingers in the air.

The conversations are light, filled with laughter and congratulations as everyone starts gathering their things.

Ha Eun and Trina chat animatedly about the next steps for marketing, Jae is already deep in thought about UI/UX tweaks, and Si Woo and Yeona leaving as well while on a discussion about the developers they need to onboard for the next phase.

I'm about to head out, eager to catch up with Yoongi and take a breath after all the excitement, when my phone buzzes.

I glance down at my phone and see a long message from Tae, but something about it feels different. No emojis. No playful teasing. Just a block of text-thoughtful, careful.
