Chapter 31: Tae's Zoo Takeover

Start from the beginning

Taehyung looks between us, his eyes softening, and for a moment, the energy around us shifts.

It's a moment of quiet understanding, one where the playful banter fades into something deeper.

Something that feels unspoken but entirely understood.

As we make our way toward a table in the café, I can't help but notice the subtle change in the air between us.

There's something undeniably different now.

The space we occupy together has been infused with a sense of permanence, of belonging, and of unconditional care.

It's like the three of us are no longer just individuals, but pieces of a puzzle that finally fit together.

We all settle into our seats, the table cozy and inviting as we browse the menu.

The conversation flows naturally, comfortable and easy.

But even as we talk about the food, the animals we saw earlier, and the small things that make the moment feel light, there's a quiet recognition that hums beneath the surface.

For Taehyung, it's the first time he's truly felt like he belongs in this circle, like he's an equal part of the bond we've been building.

And for Y/N and I, it's a reminder that, no matter where we go or what happens, we've already found something that's more than just a connection-it's a deep, nurturing bond that grows with each passing moment.

As I glance over at Taehyung, his grin is softer, more grounded, and I can't help but feel a swell of pride for him.

He's finally seeing what we've all known, and it's as if the a piece of the puzzle has fallen into place.

The café is cozy, the scent of coffee and fresh pastries filling the air like a gentle embrace.

It's the perfect refuge after our morning safari, where the wild and untamed nature of the world felt just a little too large.

Now, sitting in this quiet corner with Y/N and Taehyung, the calmness settles over me like a soft blanket, and the world seems just right. The bond between the three of us feels more alive than ever.

Taehyung is sitting across from me, poking at his pasta in that way he always does when he's excited.

His energy is contagious, pulling me into his easygoing joy, even as he argues with Y/N about the best way to twirl spaghetti.

"Hyung, you're doing it wrong," Taehyung says, half-laughing as he twirls his pasta with exaggerated finesse. "You're supposed to do it like this."

I glance at him, raising an eyebrow, my own fork suspended in midair. "I'm eating it the way I want, thank you very much," I tease, a smile tugging at the corner of my lips.

Y/N laughs softly beside me, the sound like a melody. She looks at Taehyung, her eyes full of affection. "Tae, let him be. He's not here for a pasta competition."

Taehyung grins at her. "I'm just making sure he knows how to do it right. We can't have him looking uncultured."

I roll my eyes but can't help the quiet chuckle that escapes me. It feels so natural, the easy teasing, the way we fall into these rhythms together.

The way the three of us fit like puzzle pieces, each one contributing something different, but equally important.

"So," I begin, taking a bite of my pasta, "have you guys thought about the photo competition yet? I'm ready to judge your top three photos from the safari."
