Chapter 30: Snap, Roar, Repeat

He glances at me, his voice teasing, "Yeah. Keep the windows shut, Y/N. Taehyung's already tempting fate with that giant teddy bear."

Taehyung cuddles his teddy bear closer to him and smirks. "Nothing's going to happen. I've got the ultimate weapon here-Fluffy's got my back."

I snicker and shake my head, but I'm too excited to even think about it.

The lions are just ahead.

We drive through the first gate, and I can already feel the anticipation building up in my chest.

As the second gate opens, the massive lion enclosures come into view, and my breath catches in my throat.

"Oh my god, look at them!" I whisper, leaning forward and practically pressing my nose against the window.

The lions are lounging on large rocks, their eyes focused on us as we roll up. Some are laying lazily, but one male lion is sitting upright, his mane glowing in the sunlight.

His eyes lock with mine for a split second, and I feel a little shiver run down my spine.

"They're so majestic," I murmur, snapping photos of the pride in front of us.

Taehyung, ever the playful one, lets out a squeal of excitement, causing me to laugh.

"Did you see that one?" He's pointing at a lion, his voice practically a high-pitched squeal. "It just looked at me! I'm pretty sure it's in love with me."

Yoongi glances back at Taehyung, giving him a deadpan look. "I don't think lions fall in love that easily, Tae."

Taehyung, undeterred, grins widely. "Well, it's my lion now." He cuddles Fluffy, as if the giant bear is his trusted companion in this wild adventure.

I smile at the image of him-his innocence and playful nature are so endearing.

But it's Yoongi's reaction that catches my attention. There's a subtle softness in his gaze as he watches Taehyung, a glimmer of affection that goes unnoticed by Taehyung but doesn't escape me.
